The WotLK version of the addon is finally up

You can find it here : http://www.wowinterface.com/download...Altoholic.html

It took some time to get to it, but I finally brought a lot of tiny changes that implied to change the structure of the database in order to add the ability to sort data. A lot of efforts, but I think it was definitely worth it.

For those who did not download the unofficial 2.4.016 from wowace, the biggest addition is the support of tabs. I was running out of space to add new features, so it was definitely time to add them, and to get rid of the left menu, which was working, but a pain to manage. Appropriate use of drop down boxes is now giving me much more flexibility, and I think you'll like it.

I also added an additional column which I believe you guys will appreciate, it's the Average Item Level, or AiL, which will allow you to see at a glance which alt deserves a little bit more love

If you haven't been playing with the unofficial 2.4.016, you will also discover the wow armory-like "find upgrade", which is now better than it was before. You can still search items by stats, but now you can also sort the results by a specific stat, to find out which item has the most stamina, spell power, or whatever stat you find the most relevant for that spec.

Two other guild bank related features that have been requested for a while are also in this latest version. First, you can now delete a guild bank without editing the lua file (with a confirmation message box, also added in the character deletion part), and second, you can check/uncheck a guild to display it or not in the item tooltips. This option is permanent, although it's not in the "options" tab.

Talking about the options tab, all options found in there are now permanent, including the "search into guild bank" and "search into mailbox", which used to be in the main frame. They're also enabled by default, for your best convenience

I added two small panes for pets and mounts, and you can expect tabards as well once Blizzard implements them into the beta. Tokens are also planned.
Achievements, however are already in, I am quite satisfied with the results, since it took me quite a while to make up my mind on the best layout, I hope you'll enjoy it. This feature will probably evolve too.

Last but not least, the most important change is that the addon is now based on ace3, the upgrade from ace2 was rather smooth, but I am once again struggling with fubar support.. so I decided to temporarily disable it until I can provide what it currently does in the live version.

One last word: to all those who have provided suggestions that have not yet been implemented, don't despair, the todolist is still long, and the addon will keep evolving. It's just that because of my free time, it's hard for me to say when I'll have small chunks of free time to work on small features, or when I'll have more time to work on bigger features, so I shift priorities all the time. With ace3 in the picture, I think that data sharing is now getting much closer though

That's basically it for now, I hope you're lucky enough to have access to the beta, and that you'll enjoy the new features

As usual, your feedback matters, I had a lot of ideas when I started this addon, but it wouldn't be what it is today without your input. Thanks again to all those who contributed.

AH support is being implemented in the addon, I will soon release an interim build on wowace, it's working ok so far, but the limited options granted by the API prevent me from implementing cool features to manage the AH when you're not in front of it.

Until such features are provided to addon coders, we'll have to live with it

I'm currently debugging what I've coded, but it's taking some time because I need to test auction expiries and .. actually wait until they expire :/

Anyway, expect a new release soon !

I've spent a lot of time fine tuning the advanced "Find upgrade" feature in the addon, it will work more or less like the official wow armory and will show you a list of potential upgrades to your alt's current gear.

For instance, if you're a paladin, you'll be able to find an upgrade for tank, heal or dps, which will leave you a lot of choice. The feature is almost complete right now, it's perfectible but it's working, I'm fine tuning it and making sure that localization works fine as well.

I'm still looking for help regarding the deDE localization, so if one of you has free time to spend ..

I've had little time to work on the addon, but .014 is making progress anyway. I've updated the loot table to AtlasLoot 4.05 and added support for profession cooldowns as well as command line searches.

Also, you can expect better localization in the next release, as I'll strive to provide a complete frFR, deDE, zhTW & zhCN localization. Thanks to all those who've helped me so far with this, and to those who will participate later on

It's gonna take some time though, maybe this weekend, but nothing is sure. In the meantime, a stable interim release is available on files.wowace.com.

As .012b is now rather stable, I have some time in front of me to work on new features

I've corrected a nasty bug that prevented counters to be correct when viewing mailbox attachments. This is almost totally fixed, I still have to work on counters being incorrect when receiving mails from AH purchases, which are totally weird for some reason.

/gquit no longer triggers a Lua error.

.. and last but not least, I'm working on a contextual menu when right-clicking the name of an alt, for faster access to this alt's info (bags, mails, recipes, quests). There's also a possibility to delete an alt via the addon. Say goodbye to lua editing

.013 is not ready to be released yet, I'd like to add more new features and to take the time to test as much as I can before making it public.
