- When you drag a spell to a button set to type "macro", Macaroon auto-writes the macro based on the current options. If you change the options after placing spells from the spell book, you will need to either a) manually edit the macros to adjust the self-cast condition or b) re-drag the spells from the spell book to auto-write them again based on the new setting. I am working out a scheme where it will auto-update macros when the options are changed. But for now, a small bit of work on your part is needed :)
