Well, it looks like the second edition of WoW Programming is likely going to be my last major contribution to the addon community. This camel's back is pretty darn full and I'd rather not wait for that last straw, so I'm releasing all of the following projects to the public domain:

BuyDropper
BuyEmAll
MacroTalk
CompilePost
SmallDot
AutoDND
ReappearingUnitFrames
CCWarn
MonoLua
BagBG

MacroSequence cannot be released to the public domain since some of its code appears in WoWProgramming.

ForumToCPoster is closed source, and the individual ToC files are already public domain since they're simply a re-phrasing of existing forum posts.

Lua-WoW, hosted on luaforge.net remains under the MIT license.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

I hereby release all versions of CogsBar to the public domain. The core functionality depended on a system that was deprecated in 2.1. Now with 3.0, even the endorsed method has been replaced. The changes demand a thorough rewrite that I simply don't have the time to accomplish. Feel free to take it for what it's worth.

It was fun while it lasted, but the changes in 3.0 are significant enough for me to throw in the towel on this one. Even in its 2.4 state, the main functionality uses a system that has been deprecated since 2.1 (or maybe 2.0.3, even). In the meantime, the gaps have been filled quite well by other addon authors like Tuller and Maul.

I won't be giving up on action bars entirely. You may see something from me in the coming months, as I did put together an extremely simple button grid for my wife's Beta experience. Plus, I'll have to play with the new Secure Handler system one of these days whenever we're able to update the book.

I'm also retiring ReappearingUnitFrames today, since I don't think the problem it solves has existed for the last few patches.

Look for updates to my remaining mods in the next couple weeks. That is, if updates are necessary... You should try to load out of date addons since some of them have been reported to work anyway.

As you probably noticed, my addons haven't been getting much love recently. Things have been pretty hectic and that's not likely to change in the near future. We're gearing up for one of our busiest times of the year at work, and my spare time is split between my wife and a project which I am not at liberty to share at this time.

I will continue to update my mods if they break or have any bugs that need immediate consideration, but I'm sorry to say that you probably shouldn't hold your breath on any major new features in the near future.

Edit: I am at liberty to share now... Cladhaire, Kaelten, and I are working on a new book about addon programming to be released hopefully next January.

A real binding system for CogsBar is now in place!

While this fixed what was, imo, CogsBar's Achilles' Heel, there is still more work to be done. I plan to implement nearly all the feature requests listed on this site and then some. It's going to take a pretty massive overhaul to accomplish. The first thing I want to do is get CogsBar working in the Dongle framework which will greatly simplify various aspects of the mod.

However, I don't want to leave BuyDropper in the dust... I hope to have the bank withdrawals done by the end of this month (oh wait... that's only 5 days away? ) and to have the GUI completed shortly after.
