WoWInterface is happy to announce that we have teamed up with Wowhead and the Norganna's AddOns Gatherer team to provide you with an exclusive downloadable Wowhead database for display in-game by Gatherer.

This addon will provide you with all the information currently in the Wowhead database showing all known locations of herbs, minerals and treasures. Now you can simply load up Gatherer, plug this database into it, and know what can be found in the zone you are in, without having to discover them yourself.

Wowhead will be providing regular dumps of their database to the Norganna team, who will then update the GathererDB Wowhead addon exclusively here on WoWInterface.

The import procedure is simple and painless. Once you have installed the AddOn and have reloaded the game, ensuring that both Gatherer and GathererDB_Wowhead are activated. When you finally log into the game, follow this procedure to import the new data into Gatherer:
Open Gatherer's configuration dialog.
Click on the red "Database" tab on the left-hand side of the dialog.
Click the import button in the main panel.

Make sure to add GathererDB-Wowhead to your favourites list here on WoWInterface and check back periodically to see if it's been updated, or get an email sent to you whenever they update it if y...

Gatherer is an addon for herbalists, miners and treasure hunters in World of Warcraft. It's main purpose is to track the closest plants, deposits and treasure locations on your minimap.

The addon does not track like a tracking ability does, rather it "remembers" where you have found various items in the past. It does this whenever you gather (perform herbalism, mining or opening) on an item, and records the specific map location in its history. From then on, whenever the item comes into range of being one of the closest 1-25 (configurable) items to your present location, it will pop up on you minimap.

When you view your World Map, you will also see the item locations marked on the particular map you are viewing there.

INSTALLATION:
--------------
Extract the data to your "World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns" directory so that the "Gatherer" directory is a subdirectory of the "AddOns" directory.

USAGE:
--------------
Just use the game as normal.
When you gather things, they will appear on your minimap and your main map.
If you want to configure the addon, click the Gatherer configuration icon floating around your minimap frame or type /gather options.

Slash Commands
/gather minimap (on|off|toggle) - controls the minimap tracking functionality
/gather mainmap (on|off|toggle) - controls the world map tracking functionality
/gather dist - sets the minimap tracking distance to this number of units. (in game yards)
/gather num - sets the maximum number of items to display (default=20, up to 50)
/gather herbs (on|off|toggle) - select whether to show herb data on the minimap")
/gather ore (on|off|toggle) - select whether to show mining data on the minimap")
/gather treasure (on|off|toggle) - select whether to show treasure data on the minimap")

Astrolabe (Astrolabe-1.0 r147)

Astrolabe is an embeddable library for placing icons on the Minimap, and on World Maps. Icons that are placed on the Minimap using Astrolabe are placed in a special buffer and their positions are continuously updated for player movement, based on the world map coordinates provided when the icon was initially placed. Icons remain in this buffer until they are removed.

Astrolabe also provides functions to compute the in-game distance between two points and translate a point from one zoom level of the map another.

EnhTooltip is a tooltip library that supports both embedded (integrated into an existing tooltip object) and separate (its own tooltip attached to an existing tooltip) data to be printed to an on-screen tooltip. EnhTooltip also supports money objects on each line. EnhTooltip is also a LoadOnDemand AddOn based on Stubby, so it goes well with other LoadOnDemand AddOns.

Stubby is a stub-loader. It takes care of loading LoadOnDemand AddOns based on user or developer selected options. It is currently used by the Auctioneer AddOns team for all of their AddOns. Stubby also includes a hooking library to facilitate the creation of extremely flexible stubs.
