Apologies for any inconvenience.
-----
The following is adapted from the original project description. Disclaimers at the bottom.
-----
This is a BETA release. Seeking assistance with any/all localizations (deDE, esES, frFR, koKR, ruRU, zhCN, zhTW, any/all others).
-----
Aloft is an addon that allows you to customize and enchance how nameplates and nameplate casting bars appear in the game.

The Aloft FAQ is HERE, please review it. (And please feel free to request additional information/clarification.)

NOTE: Keeping track of which versions of WoW are live on which non-North American realms is difficult; please PM me if you end up with an incompatible version, we can probably find something that will work for you.

NOTE: The current production release is Aloft-5.2.1 (Ace3), for WoW 5.1+ (Mists of Pandaria Beta, on North American live realms as of 2012/11/27; not compatible with earlier versions of WoW). Aloft-4.4.8 (Ace3) is still available for WoW 4.X. Aloft 2.8.3 (Ace2) or later is required for WoW 3.2. Some older versions may or may not still be available; send a PM to Acapela for older versions, and include your email address.

Quick answers to current "problems" (see recent Change Log entries for additional details):
-------------------------
Recent Changes (Aloft 5.2.3):
- forgot to add Arena ID module icon background textures to repository! now added...
- applied various small fixes to avoid using Region:Show()/Hide() on sub-elements of the Blizzard nameplate frame assembly, to improve compatibility with "Healers Have to Die"
Recent Changes (Aloft 5.2.2):...

Change Log:
--------------------
5.0.1-2418 (Mists of Pandaria)
- enhanced to cover monk/brewmaster tanking
- added a check to avoid divide-by-zero problems in the stacked points (combo points/etc) module
- fixed some divide-by-zero problems in threat management (the MoP threat system seems to zero out perdiodically, during fights)

5.0.0-2404 (Mists of Pandaria)
- changed GetNumRaidMembers() to GetNumGroupMembers()
- changed GetNumPartyMembers() to GetNumSubgroupMembers()
- changed (MiniMapBattlefieldFrame.status == "active") effectively to (select(IsInInstance(), 2) == "pvp")
- updated Shaman totem manifest and spell IDs
- added Monk class color (0x00ff96), class name, and associated options, to code and documentation
- added Pandaren race short form
- verified crowd control spell IDs, added Shaman "Bind Elemental" to crowd control spell IDs
- combined obsolete PARTY_MEMBERS_CHANGED/RAID_ROSTER_UPDATE events into new GROUP_ROSTER_UPDATE event
- no changes to Aloft related to GetGuildRosterInfo() (Aloft doesn't use all the arguments), or UnitIsGroupLeader() (Aloft previously updated away from deprecated functions)
- no apparent changes related to GetBattlefieldScore()/GetWhoInfo()/GetFriendInfo()

- TODO: add brewmaster tanking characteristics (for nameplate glow control)
- TODO: hunter trap snakes (specifically "Viper"; E/W Plaguelands and Uldum) and (possibly) DK bloodworms now seem to have names in common with some normal NPCs

4.4.9
- updated the cast warning module to detect animation update interval of 0 and use OnUpdate directly, instead of AceTimer-3.0 (seemns marginally faster/smoother)
- updated LibBabble-Faction-3.0 to latest/greatest (4.3-release32)
- updated Ace3 to latest/greatest (r1057)

4.4.2-2308
- merged in zhTW localization contributed by WoWInterface user aa9012456.

Description:
--------------------
This has been superceded by Aloft-5.0.2 (and later), available on Aloft's "main" page.
-----
This is a "development" version of Aloft (the nameplate addon). Please refer to the main page for that addon for a comprehensive description.

This is an ALPHA release. That means it has not had a substantial amount of testing under all circumstances. By installing this version, you are basically agreeing to help test :). Please report any/all bugs with this release in the comments section of this WoWInterface addon page.

This version of Aloft is functionally identical to Aloft-4.4.8-2386.

This version of Aloft is updated to work with WoW "5", aka "Mists of Pandaria", currently in beta test. Not all intended features are implemented or working yet (primarily, I still need to finish/test features for the Monk/Brewmaster variant).

This version of Aloft will NOT work correctly on the current WoW live realms.

AloftCastWarning (Beta) (AloftCastWarning-4.0.1-2048)

Change Log:
--------------------
4.0.1-2048
- fixed problem in AloftCastWarningLocale.lua preventing options from loading properly

4.0.0-1893
- TOC update to 40000 (for WoW 4.0.1/Cataclysm)
- made major version match that of Aloft (both 4.X; hopefully will help avoid future confusion over which basic/major version of AloftCastWarning to use with which version of Aloft)

1.0.5-1871
- enhanced all borders to expose edgeSize (thickness) and inset (padding) as user options

1.0.4-1844
- fixed intermittent bug related to trying to track spells with zero cast duration
- enhanced to delete spells with zero cast duration from the spell database (we don't want to track them, we certainly don't need to save them)
- fixed various problems with proactive cleanup of spell database

1.0.2-1809
- simplified nameplate OnHide processing; setting backdrop/border alpha to zero (0), but leaving the actual border in place; this seems to affect the #132 crash problem? please test (enable borders again, etc)

1.0.1-1780
- added "comprehensive" checks to AloftCastWarning's options menus to insure that the associated module is enabled before updating options

1.0.0-1764
- initial production Ace3 release
- NOT COMPATIBLE with versions of Aloft before 3.1.0
- file manifest is the same as older versions (should be able to just install); your saved variables should be OK
- revised definition of "friendly", to "not UnitCanAttack()"; "UnitIsFriendly()" returns true for same-faction duel opponents, and "UnitIsEnemy()" may report false for neutral units

0.7.9-1599
- applied a blend mode on all texture regions (including backdrops) to "improve" behavior of UI object layering

0.7.8-1588
- enhanced to provide a cast warning bar in some situations when the player's target changes and the target cast bar is not available

0.7.7-1531
- small internal change that improves UI element layering in WoW 3.3 (harmless in WoW 3.2)

0.7.6-1430
- moved some target tracking capabilities into Aloft's target t...

Description:
--------------------
NOTE: This addon is now part of core Aloft, incorporated as a module. Versions of Aloft from 4.2.X onwards (including the mainline Aloft-4.3.X version and onwards) all incorporate this functionality. It is no longer necessary to install this as a separate addon. Standalone versions of this addon will NOT work with WoW 4.1 or later.
-----
NOTE: This is now an Ace3 addon. AloftCastWarning-1.0.0 (and subsequent versions) will NOT WORK with any Ace2 version of Aloft. You will need Aloft-4.X.
-----
This addon provides a "pseudo" cast bar for identifiable non-target units with visible nameplates (in addition to Aloft's normal target cast bar). This addon ignores the player's current target (on the assumption that the normal target cast bar is available for that purpose).

There are limitations (gory details in README.txt, which is enclosed within the addon. Please review it). To summarize: for PvE (and NPC targets generally), you need to be in a group/raid, a groupmember needs to have the unit targeted, and the unit needs to have a raid target assignment (i.e. an icon). For battlegrounds (PvP, PC targets), a groupmember needs to have the unit targeted. In arenas (PvP, PC targets), it should just work (though it has not been extensively tested there).
-----
This is packaged as a standalone addon, and should be installed as such, but it requires Aloft in order to function. Without Aloft, this addon will just silently fail to initialize.

Remember to enable this addon, as well as Aloft, on the Blizzard addon control screen.

NOTE: Aloft installs into .../Interface/AddOns/Aloft, and THIS addon should install into .../Interface/AddOns/AloftCastWarning. i.e. Copy the contents of this addon's ZIP into .../Interface/AddOns as you wo...
