This addon is causing far too many errors, always during combat and always the errors are about Volumizer trying to call a protected function! It's causing so many errors in such a short amount of time that it lags my game so much that I have to log out and exit the game ASAP otherwise the errors keep coming until my game has lagged so badly I cannot even move!

In August 2011 the author, Torhal, stated:

Unfortunately Blizzard has made the UIDropDown frames more prevalent in areas of code that are secured or protected, so AddOn taint is more of an issue. I'll look at mitigating some of this and, failing that, look for a different DropDown solution for presets.

Almost 2 YEARS have gone past since then and apparently nothing's been done to fix it yet, does that mean it's just never going to be fixed? Is Torhal even working on this anymore or has this one simply been abandoned?

I finally got around to it. I'm sure there are some bugs, as I mainly made sure the PetJournal displayed everything without throwing Lua errors, and added name coloration to the cards (though I swore that already existed in the version for 5.0.5 WoW...)

Best addon for it's purpose.The latest alpha builds are found http://www.wowace.com/addons/archy/ keeping in mind they are alpha builds and might be missing data or have bugs. I haven't noticed any, but but the warning is valid for all alphas.

Just wanted to report the following bug I've been getting. Mostly it seems to occur while in combat, but it happen at other times as well. It's interesting because when it does happen, I'm not messing with Volumizer at all. It's been going of a bit, but I keep forgetting to report it. Thanks.

He apparently stopped updating this add-on. It was the best out there until Blizzard put some of it into the game. Blizzard didn't do as good of a job as this add-on so i wish he would update it. It conflicts with other add-on's and allot of it doesn't work right.

For now untill he updates Pet theory I'm using PetJournalEnhanced-2.6.2. They've improved the add-on allot so its now about as good as Pet Theory.

Still am NOT getting an ARL button on my tradeskill UI. It does not work with either Mr Trader or ATSW.

No command will open the ARL window short of opening the UI controls, and manually resetting.

Cannot even guess why this is happening.

There was an issue with both but I fixed it. I currently use Mr Trader and it works completely.

I think when I was using that there was a button labelled "plugin" or somesuch that had a link to the ARL... not using it recently tho

It works with any LDB display, which should also work with ElvUI/TukUI. Alternately, you could just type /vol to show the frame in the center of the screen.

Although it may very well be a conflict with one of the other addons I have. Connection is simply too slow to test that theory atm. Today's patch seemed to improve matters from yesterday although instead of everything showing locked, it now shows as blank but I can see the outline of each pet box. No info from them when mousing over though.

I had a problem today after logging in. My pet journal would not display. Pet Theory seemed to be the problem. As soon as I disabled this addon, the journal worked perfectly.

Another option is to disable the minimap-button entirely from Archy Options and use an LDB panel to display its icon and also control the tooltip (every panel I've checked - like Fortress, Docking Station, etc has options for controlling the plugins tooltip visibility)

Oh, please don't disable the minimap button! I'm one of those rare few who refuse to use a broker addon (assuming you mean those hideous bars like TitanPanel), so without a minimap button I'd be utterly lost. :|

Thanks for the response anyway - it's nice to know that at least you look at suggestions and take them seriously. :) And while I find the size of the window a bit wanting (as it's caused mostly by the redundant info), it's not gamebreaking at all.I meant that you (the user) already have the option to disable the minimap button from Archy options if you so choose. :)

Would also like to add that while I'm not using a panel myself, most LDB displays don't force a panel on you either.
Taking Fortress as an example you can configure it to show just one small button per broker-enabled addon (or nothing at all by unchecking 'enable' at the plugin list)
