I would really appreciate it if you would consider distributing through Curse.com.

I have a couple ideas for you to consider.

1) It would be nice to see the addon intergrated to the Blizzard AddOns interface for configuring the addon.

The displaying of all gear "show list item" option is awesome. I love to have that available but I find it it very wide taking a lot of real estate all the time.
2) Show just the ilvl but expand to the item list when clicking (or dbl clicking) on the toon.

Thanks for a great addon!!!
As of yet, I have been unable to find an effective way to account for item upgrades as that information is not readily available to the API like the other information about the item is.

I did some searching around and found on the wow forums where someone came up with a function to determine the upgraded item levels. All you have to do to put in a fix for this is to include this function:

function GetActualItemLevel(link)
if(link ~= nil) then
local levelAdjust={ -- 11th item:id field and level adjustment
=0,=8,=4,=8,=4,=4,
=4,=4,=4,=0,=4,=8,
=0,=8,=0,=4,=8,=0,
=8,=0,=4,=8,=12,=16}
local baseLevel = select(4,GetItemInfo(link))

local upgrade = string.match(link,":(%d+)\124h%
else
return baseLevel
end
end
end

Then change the line:

local name, _, quality, itemLevel = GetItemInfo(GetInventoryItemLink(unit, i) or 0)

to be this:

local itemLevel = GetActualItemLevel(GetInventoryItemLink(unit, i))

I'm sorry if there's any errors that come up that I've overlooked, but I've made these changes to my addon and it seems to be working OK, and most importantly, it's taking into account the upgrades properly now.

Hope this helps! I love the addon!

-Cyna

ps, the post was found here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7199032730#9

Hey,

Firstly, thanks for the AddOn - it's made my life much easier, and for anybody interested, it works nicely partnered with another addon called StatBlock.

What I was wondering, is do you have any intention to update the addon to account for item upgrades done through the new Valor Point upgrading system? I have noticed that some of my items are upgraded, but the addon shows their original iLVL - my boots for example are upgraded to item level 511, but the addon still shows them to be 503.

Cheers

I'm also noticing the party chat spam "you're not in a party". This only seems to be happening in LFR so far - it could be something to do with the new "instance" groups and "dungeon" groups that were added recently.

As of yet, I have been unable to find an effective way to account for item upgrades as that information is not readily available to the API like the other information about the item is.

The chat spam is likely caused by the addon trying to send through the addon channel the request and response about your item info to other people who might be using the addon so the item level information won't have to be scanned.

I have some ideas for a major re-write of the addon that would eliminate the partial scans showing item level and actually indicate that not all information on all items equipped has been received. It would also streamline the scans, but at this point I don't have the time to work on addons. At this point, if someone wants to take on the project, I would give them my ideas for renovation of the addon and they could take over the addon.

There's a bug it took me a day to narrow it down to this addon. After having done 1 - 3 BG's the addon will cause excessive "You are not in a raid group." spam in the chat while in battlegrounds. It's incredibly annoying it makes chat unreadable while during battlegrounds.

Do you mean it starts doing it after a few BGs ands not in the first? I will try it out. I thought I had that eliminated.

Sorry with MoP and everything I forgot I reported this bug, never checked back to see if you had any questions, I'll answer now rather late than never. It's never the first battleground (2-4). It also happens in arenas (never the first arena but after 2-4 arenas it starts happening.

Well, first of all I want to thank you for this addon. It going to be AWESOME for BGR.
You know why? Because with the new cd on dispel there going to be people who will slack and say "Oh, sorry, it was on cd"
....And now I will be able to kick their asses out of my team MUWAHAHAHAH :D

Seriously: You know this is the only addon anywhere who track the dispel cd?

But It could be better:

When you lock the addon, and then you log out, when you came in the addon is unlocked
It could be awesome to track how many times someone actually dispelled. Like in the right of the bars, or something like that.
Skada can show how many debuffs someone dispelled, but not the times he actually did it.
Maybe with a right-click->reset counter?
It could be awesome too if you could be able to select to don't track dps dispel or offensive dispel...or even better be able to select what type to track (like a select box where I can select Healers and Offensive, but unselect defensive dps dispel)

Okay the lock thing was a big oversight on my part. That should be fixed in the next version.

I considered tracking number of dispels, but figured so many people have addons like recount and skada that can track things like that already that it wouldn't be real useful to have another addon doing it. I'll consider adding a count for dispels / casts to the right of the bars.

Tracking of dispels of buffs on enemies and dispels of debuffs on friendly targets separately would be an advancement on the filtering system. I'll work on that as well. Right now you can filter out dps by filtering specific classes and/or specs. The default is to filter out druid tanks, but with the slash command you can change the filtering.

I'll work on your requests.

Resto druids have 8 second CD "Nature's Cure" that removes magic, poison and curse.
Ballance druids have 8 second CD "Remove Corruption" that removes poison and curse.
I don't know about Feral and Guardian.

Thanks for the info.Cat and bear druids also have the same Remove Corruption as moonkins, however for bear druids I would advise either not including them at all or at least defaulting them to "disabled", if that's within the scope of the add-on. Casting the spell shifts you out of forms - for cats that's just a DPS loss, but for bears that's potentially raid wipe.

Thanks for the info and a very good point.

Problem still sadly persists in 2.0.8 for me.

Okay, what other add-ons are you running? I could recreate your issues prior to my changes, but not now so there is something I am missing.

I disabled all addons, even the optional tip tac modules. So I just have the TipTac default module, and EquippedAverageItemLevelTooltip running. And the problem still persists.

What version of TipTac and please confirm that it is in fact version 2.0.8 and that you didn't get 2.0.7 prior to the upload actually getting approved by the wowi staff. If all of that is the absolute most current then just for kicks and grins try my addon by itself and see if you still have the issue. I need as much test data as you can provide so I can recreate your issue and resolve it.

It says Version: 2.0.8 in the ToC. Without TipTac it is working fine without problems. I have a feeling it might have something to do with the the health and mana bars I have enabled with TipTac in the tooltip. I have the TipTac version 12.09.05. I could send over my TipTac saved variables in a .rar or .zip folder to you if you'd like to try it with my settings?

Yes, let's try that. I am using the health and mana bars and the same version of tiptac without the issue, but I can compare our savedvariables anyway and do some more testing.

I can also confirm the same behavior w/ the newest version of TipTac and this addon. The health/mana bars change about a second after you get the tooltip and then looks correct. It does make the tooltip look "jumpy". It is as if it is inserting your data on an "update" after it has opened. Perhaps TipTac prints its info then looks for additional addon/information to insert into the tooltip? I really have no idea, just trying explain what the behavior looks like. Hope this helps some and thanks for all you work.
This problem has been resolved as of version 2.1.0. I had to add calls to the show method because of TipTac. I had them for the item list, but neglected them for the item level and specialization. You can thank excitor for being a good glab rat and providing me with test data and notifying me of the problem in the first place.

Truthfully one of my favorite pvp addons !!!!

If the addon isn't being updated I wonder if someone might be able to help me figure out how to do so. I'll be posting an update shortly.

Awesome man!!!! Now I can get rid of this bulky crap I tried .. (didn't even work right)

Happy to help. :-)

Sorta wondering if there is going to be an update for this addon? Truthfully one of my favorite pvp addons !!!!

If the addon isn't being updated I wonder if someone might be able to help me figure out how to do so. I miss my random emotes and its a very light weight addon Does only what it says. Any help would be freaking awesome!!!!!!

I was PvPing early and missed the addon myself. I'll be posting an update shortly.

Awesome man!!!! Now I can get rid of this bulky crap I tried .. (didn't even work right)
