The friendly fire sound for the Stormcloud debuff from Throne of Thunder trash (spellid: 139900) should only trigger if it hits players other than yourself.

It's designed to do that, but it was incorrectly looking for a BUFF instead of a DEBUFF to suppress the alert. I'll post a fix.

Type this in-game:

/GTFO NOVERSION

Just remember that the updates often contain corrected alerts that were missing or wrong. Because there's no magic flag in the game to detect avoidable damage, a lot of the spells and situations have to be identified and programmed in by hand.

I bought the WoW Annual Pass, so I'll be sticking around until Pandas at the very least. If you know anyone that runs heroic raids, I could use some help with developing GTFO alerts for them since my guild is a little behind on progression (we were 2/7H in Firelands).

No programming necessary...just need people to tell me "I got hit with X and it should've beeped at me" so I can research, test, and implement it.

Aw, that's ok. :D I don't need donations. Just spread the word to friends and guildies and those players that stand in stuff that you meet in pugs is all I would ask.

It makes me happy to hear all the success stories of people that have really improved their game thanks to the addon!

GTFO uses an extremely low level of bandwidth. I hate mods that waste bandwidth too.

But I'll see about adding your suggestion into the next release.

In the meantime, there's no need to avoid upgrading. I removed the buggy version from the site as soon as I saw it had problems. In the lifetime of this addon and almost 100 releases, I've only had to do that one other time.

Since I rolled back to v4.11.5 after the logon error(s) reported below, I have been receiving unfortunate "update alerts" for the mod in chat after joining raids. Haven't needed the new (formerly buggy) special alert fine tuning, so haven't updated to v4.12.2.

As is typical with mods that (unnecessarily) do this, there is no indication in the options or otherwise that it (unnecessarily) communicates/clogs up the hidden addon comm channel with these update alerts. Some people don't like or need to be reminded of updates behind their back. Others don't want another mod using up their limited bandwidth. And so on.

Deadly Boss Mods (DBM)--the most popular mod download--allows users to disable its own comm version checking in its options. Think you could add such an option for users to disable (or enable) the GTFO version checking?

It'll be a while, I'll report next week since it's an odd error and only reported it cause that day it didn't seem to want to go away. So far so good logged out and back in like 10 times and tried to make it happen.

This bug might have something to do with corrupt saved Skada stats, but I programmed in a workaround for it. It'll be available shortly in the next version.
