Is it just me ... or does this not working? I have this, Chatloot and Aurora installed but same Aurora border around my Loot History Frame/Chat tab.Hmm I'll have to look into it. I may have broke something with Aurora support with the latest update. I just hate installing those UI packages. :( Does 1.0 work? Technically 1.1 doesn't include anything new for Aurora users.

Ya unfortunately I've run out of ideas. You could try "/run ChatLoot:LoadFrame()" to force the loading function but it still has checks built into it so if that's been running and failing I'm not sure what else to do. If that does work though then maybe it still needs a delay built into the loading phase.

Unfortunately no, there is just no way to do what you did to fix it for me. The Loot History tab is not there, at all. The addon itself loads in the background of course, but never creates the tab. There doesn't seem to be a fix as of yet, even the author doesn't know what's going on. But thanks for trying. There is nothing more I can do or say to elaborate on the situation, it just doesn't do what it's suppose to 'anymore'. It use to work, but just randomly stopped. Even if I were to install it without any other addons, it doesn't fix it. It just plainly and simply, doesn't do 'anything' anymore, except load in the background.

I don't know if this is the same issue, but I believe after resetting my chat options, the addon seemed to lose functionality. I found out, however, by deleting the Loot History chat tab and /reload, it appeared appropriately.

Hopefully this was able to help you both out some. :)

After many more times trying... I still am unable to get the addon to work anymore. I deleted my WTF folder, and Interface folder and let the client re-add them, then I re-downloaded and drag and dropped it into the AddOns folder, but still... no luck. I don't know what happened. It's like it has a mind of it's own and remembers me and just doesn't like me... so weird.

I don't know if this is the same issue, but I believe after resetting my chat options, the addon seemed to lose functionality.

I will try that script later tonight, when Blizzard finally ends their maintenance period and see what happens.

Yes, I'm aware that it goes into Interface/AddOns, I was simply talking about the folders used in most AddOns, in general... I was making a point that my addon doesn't go in any of the typical folders that most addons do.

EDIT: Okay, I tried the script, it said "Loot History" in the chat, but there is no tab for it, anywhere.

Ok so I'm starting to grasp at straws here... You have addons enabled? Latest version (1.4) downloaded? Less than 10 chat tabs? What does typing something like "/run print(ChatLoot.defaults.char.tabName)" with the latest version output into chat? Should be "Loot History" which if the addon is being loaded at all it will show that.

Edit: You should be putting the ChatLoot folder into Interface/AddOns and not Interface/WTF.
My addon is the only addon on the website that doesn't get installed into the Interface/WTF folders to function. It creates its own folder for shaders, it's a graphic enhancement addon.

I don't know what happened. Installing it by itself, with a fresh/clean Interface/WTF folders, it still won't work anymore. It's as if it just grew a mind of it's own and decided to tell me 'no'. LOL

LOL

Ok so to be clear, when you say nothing is it as if the addon isn't loaded at all and you have the default loot window or it's doing something else (making multiple chat tabs, throwing an error, etc). Also is your addon giving this issue? Do they both have to be enabled for it to happen?

Just trying to narrow down where the conflict is or if it's something to do with your computer, wow install, etc.

Nope. Pretty sure it was released before you brought up your issue. It attempts to fix a bug with a new tab being created on login when one already exists.

ah ya that bug haha i had that one too but it wasnt as annoying, thanks again for a great addon. Yeah if it still crops up I have another idea to make sure it works properly but I'm hoping it isn't necessary. As for Aurora, part of it's code is adding a frame that makes that glow like aura around the loot window. So I have a fix that hides that but I'm just going to release it as a separate patch for Aurora after I've made sure it doesn't break something.
