i've had a closer look at your sources, and might have a suggestion

instead of using localized names (like "Rupture") for timers, why not use the spell id (1943 in case of Rupture)?
that way, the timers would work on all locales ;)

many of the functions you used actually support spell ids as parameter, as well as names
or, you could use GetSpellInfo (http://www.wowwiki.com/API_GetSpellInfo , maybe combined with select()) to get the localized names
either way would work =)

edit:
i'm at home now, and fiddled with some settings
whenever i press shift and got either no or a friendly target, i get the following error:
Message: Interface\AddOns\SnailUI\Elements\ActionBars.lua:97: IsHarmful(): Invalid spell slot
Time: 05/22/13 16:49:11
Count: 1
Stack: : in function `IsHarmful'
Interface\AddOns\SnailUI\Elements\ActionBars.lua:97: in function `ActionButton_UpdateUsable'
Interface\FrameXML\ActionButton.lua:271: in function `ActionButton_Update'
Interface\FrameXML\ActionButton.lua:523: in function `ActionButton_OnEvent'
Interface\FrameXML\ActionButton.lua:124: in function <Interface\FrameXML\ActionButton.lua:117>

Locals:

using a hostile target and i don't get that error

edit2:
turns out that after i deleted some macros that i didn't use anymore, i didn't get that error...
macros that i deleted were 2 created by vuhdoo, AutoHP/AutoMP created by a buffet edit, and a macro that didn't work since it was in the wrong language
except AutoHP and AutoMP neither of those were in one of my action bars...

Greetings. That sounds like a decent enough idea, I'll have it implemented by next update.

Any possible chance to add one more row of bars? I love the design of the UI but I just have a few more moves that I would love to be able to see in front of me. I don't see any spellbars on the sides and when I try to download an external bar addon it messes up the bars that are already there.

Extra bars really press up on screen space for healers though, I may consider 3 at the max but sure why not lol.

I'm assuming the Debuff tracker still isn't completely implemented- What did you use on your warlock to track debuffs?

Also, I had a problem showing Minimap buttons when I last used this addon, and the problem is still there- I'm using OUF, OUF Spellrange, Snail, and Smartbuff- But no matter what I do, I can't get the Smartbuff minimap button to show....

- Yes a lot of classes are not implemented yet as far as timers go, working on them as I go. :p

- This is intended, the UI creates a brand new minimap and hides the old one. All of the addon minimap buttons are stuck to the old minimap, thus hidden along with it. I might do a fix so that addon icons show up in the near future though.

Hi, excellent pack... I really love ur actionbar... how can i get just yhe rectangle buttons?

Would you be willing to help others just get the action bars to look like yours - widescreen? Maybe a seperate mod? Thanks!

To get nothing but the actionbars would be relatively easy, but would require adding:

Enabled = false,

To pretty much every frame in the theme files in SnailUI / Themes / Default but if this is requested enough I might put it in a separate addon. :)

Separate Mod? meaby

This UI is really beautiful and as minimalistic as I never hoped to find. Lots of thanks to the maker of it! That's simply outstanding.

Still I have a couple of questions, they were already asked earlier, still if there is some new info I might have missed, I need to ask again:

1. Can the size of the text in chat be changed? I tried this scheme: turn-off SnailUI - change the size in standard interface - turn-on SnailUI again. After this the size with SnailUI turned-on was still very little, impossible to read. Any other variants?

2. Can the color of the frames be changed in some way, maybe somewhere in lua-files? I play rogue, and I simply hate that yellow color.

3. Can that damage-meter be turned-off somehow? As a person who doesn't visit raids or instants and plays alone, I simply don't need that info...

Thank you for the answers and again - the work is very, very beautiful.

Lol, you quit the game because of green fire? Come on man, can't we give blizzard a break? MOP was a good job and at least they didn't break you class like they did mine ...

^_

Although, I can appreciate the love for aesthetics. Nice UI. Keep it up.

Lol yeah, I was one of those guys that has been waiting for it since TBC and when they got our hopes up and then crushed it (twice) I couldn't handle it so I just waited it out. :p

Hi guys, just a quick heads up. I quit the game when green fire for warlocks was delayed with 5.1 as I was really disappointed with blizzard. I am coming back for 5.2 and will probably update this UI later tonight to get it working again. Thanks again to all of the users for trying SnailUI out and reporting bugs, I appreciate it a lot.

--------------------------------------

i really love the simplicity and neatness of this UI, but is there a way to make it so it doesn't handle my chatbox at all? it's really driving me crazy how small my font/chat box is, and i use tabs quite frequently so not being able to use those with it is extremely frustrating. i've tried making it so snailUI doesn't handle my chatbox, but all that does is make it permanently stuck to the left of my screen, still unable to move it or use tabs or anything :<
thank you in advance, if anyone can help. and thank you for making such a nice UI ; o ;

You should be able to disable the chat (reverting to the blizzard default or w/e addon you want to use) by adding:

Enabled = false,

Under:

Chat =
{

In SnailUI / Themes / Default / Default.lua, I'll probably do an option for this in game soon. :)

This UI is really beautiful and as minimalistic as I never hoped to find. Lots of thanks to the maker of it! That's simply outstanding.

Still I have a couple of questions, they were already asked earlier, still if there is some new info I might have missed, I need to ask again:

1. Yes it can, open SnailUI / Configuration.lua and search for:

Font =
{
Name = "Interface\\AddOns\\SnailUI\\Media\\SnailUI.ttf",
Outline = "MONOCHROME, OUTLINE",
Size = 8,
},

You can change the font to whatever you like. :)

2. Not currently but I may implement this in the future if it is requested enough, pretty much everything is class colored. x.x

3. Yes, under Meter {} in the Default theme files, add:

Enabled = false,

And it should disable it. I will probably implement this as an in game option in the future.

Just wanted to say I like this interface. Nice execution and originality.

The only thing I don't like is how the chat and map are in prime screen areas when they are rarely, if ever needed in combat/raids. This would generally be fine but moving either effects the oh so elegantly centric design.

This is just my opinion. Like I said, really nice work.

I may implement the hide/show functionality for those 2 frames in the future. Thanks for the heads up. :)

I like this one very minimal but there's a down side for me with out having in-game editing capabilities and the player/target unit frames not being there on my warrior (standard blizzard frames)

Yeah the in game options are very limited right now, that will change with time once I get the core features implemented. Right now my priority is features > options as I think that is more important but options will come eventually.

i really love the simplicity and neatness of this UI, but is there a way to make it so it doesn't handle my chatbox at all? it's really driving me crazy how small my font/chat box is, and i use tabs quite frequently so not being able to use those with it is extremely frustrating. i've tried making it so snailUI doesn't handle my chatbox, but all that does is make it permanently stuck to the left of my screen, still unable to move it or use tabs or anything :<
thank you in advance, if anyone can help. and thank you for making such a nice UI ; o ;
