Why do quests not show up in the tracker for the last 3 alpha releases... Alpha 8 worked fine, but none since :(

Apparently Grail / Wholly cause the quests to not show up in the Quest Tracker.

Now i'm just trying to figure out why Auto-Track doesn't work. :(

I know you're busy, but is there any chance of a new Alpha Release soon, with the Quest log changes? I know you are trying to present a finished product, but even an incremental change would be an improvement over what we have now. :confused:

it seems the beta version of carbonite has started to lag me out completely.
Not sure if it's the latest blizz hotfixes or what.
I normally have 70+ fps, but if I log in with Carbonite Beta (latest version) it drops down to 1 fps and I have to disable it, then my framerates go back up to normal.

I have gone thru and checked each add-on and Carbonite seems to be the one giving me this issue. When I have the mini map up it causes my game to error out and close or freeze up and I have to reboot my computer. After installing it fresh I get it to function ok untill I run a random or LFR then after it starts back with the freezing and/or closing the game out. I also notice that right before this happens the mimi map has no detail to it and does not function like it should.

Not sure what happened in this update, but I've installed a clean version of this (removed old savesVariables) and it appears that the quest tracker cannot be resized anymore. Also moving the frame around is very bugged. Minimizing also doesn't work anymore.

It's clearly broken :p

Hi there!

One feature that's changed (or I may be mis-remembering) between stable and 5.2.x beta, is the way quest tracking colors work on the map/mini-map.

I swear, I remember the old version using semi-transparent blobs (of different colors), and simply making the "current" quest slightly more opaque. In the current beta version, the "current" quest is always 100% solid opaque, and also always becomes color #1.

There's an option for mouse-over alpha level... could we get an option for "current" quest alpha level?

Great work guys.... I like the modularity, and I very much like having a unified settings profile, rather than having to copy from a known good character's setup.

Hi, I just upgraded to this version of Carbonite and noticed right away that they quest tracker is missing. I can't figure out how to turn it on in the options. I am talking about the drop down menu that could be collapsed, but showed the quests you were on, along with the progress.

Edit : I am also not getting Quest Complete reports in the chat pane.

Edit 2 : Ok, I downloaded 5.2, not the Beta version, which I didn't see available the first time and it seems to have fixed my problems.

First thank you for keeping this addon alive.
Looked all over and I saw a few things on this but couldn't find a clear answer

I really miss my quest bubbles in pandaria. All of the old world locations still work, but in pandaria all i get is the circled x mark on my carbonite map.

Is there any eta on carbonites bubbles back?
Is there a way to get blizzards bubbles to work in either the carbonite map, or the mini map?

I have clicked the quest poi tab in the minimap magnifying glass icon, but I do not get any bubbles in mini map other then archaeology areas

Not yet no, the quest database is the next thing on my list to overhaul.

it seems counter-intuitive to have a specific fonts page, but then have font selection also on the info and quest modules.

despite this, i can not seem to change the font on the quest log to something that i can read nor can i change the font on the quest tracker unless i change the actual scale.

perhaps i'm missing something?

The reason for fonts page, then seperate fonts is I can't modify the original font options list from a module very easily.... I'll look into doing it later on once more of the rewrite is done. Changing the fonts... not sure, I've tested several times both windows and all it took was switching which font in the dropdown and right away the change took place.

you used to be able to put the arrow on top of the text by typing in a negative x value. I realise this is mainly a cosmetic concern, but I really miss it, surprisingly hehe. can it be restored?

the original setting never showed as negative capable so I hadn't done it... but yes I can put that back (in fact just quickly did it) and next version will allow from -100 to 100.

I installed the new beta (couldn't survive without having my carbonite-crutch) and it seems to have deleted all the notes from my maps. I tried the Import Old Carbonite settings, but it still didn't bring back my notes. Is there a way to salvage them?

Unfortunately, if they are gone... there is no salvaging them. But I might of coded the import wrong, never tested it much since it's only temporary... you can edit your carbonite.lua inside wtf/account//savedvariables and see if NxData still has anything saved in it.
