Hmmm. There isn't an option for it, and I'm not sure that one can really be easily done. The border options are a part of the font definitions accepted by the game for which textures do not support. I'll look into it a little more, but I suspect it would take playing some type of trick like stacking a larger black texture behind it. If that is indeed the case, then I will have to decline this request.

After considering this, I've decided to flag it for a future version. Allowing custom code would certainly open up a lot of opportunities for custom behavior.

My biggest concern with this is exactly what Promega has suggested. I really, really, really don't want to see people auto spamming party/say chat with stuff. I absolutely hate having my chat spammed with junk like "BAM! Crit for 17 kabillion". If I want to know about an event, I'll create a trigger for it myself.

You can modify the values in the lua file if you like.

Open MSBTOptionsTabs.lua and find:

Animation speed slider.
...
slider:SetMinMaxValues(20, 250)

Then change the 20 to 10 or 5. I don't want to make this change to the official version though because at speeds those slow the text can almost appear to be frozen.

You should be able to create a new scroll area and purposely move it off screen. Then set the trigger to that new scroll area.

That said, I realize this solution is not the best approach. One of the things on my roadmap for version 6 is to make triggers a little more independent with selectable results. For example, display a message, run custom code, play a sound, etc. Then you would be able to pick and choose what you want to happen when the conditions are met.

You can already do this, but not via the same main event. A single trigger can have multiple main events which are treated as an OR. You simply repeat the main event and other conditions and use a different skill name.

Example:

Main Event 1: Cast Start
Source Unit Reaction - Is Equal To - Hostile
Skill Name - Is Equal To - Revive

Main Event 2: Cast Start
Source Unit Reaction - Is Equal To - Hostile
Skill Name - Is Equal To - Redemption

Main Event 2: Cast Start
Source Unit Reaction - Is Equal To - Hostile
Skill Name - Is Equal To - Resurrection

You can look specifically for the name of the buff that is stealable with the current system. I realize you're saying it would be nice to create a single trigger that looks at all aura applications and only fires when one is stealable. That is not a bad idea, but it really won't work with the way the trigger system is current designed because it's not a part of the combat log event. It is also possible to see (and trigger on) aura applications for units that UnitAura is not able to obtain information about due to the lack of a unitid.

I've posted it in many place now, but I'll put it here for reference as well. Disabling the built-in XP text is not possible without using the hack linked above. The hack also has issues since it disable all built-in game damage, healing, and notifications.

Blizzard needs to add a CVar for mod developers to have control over and I have requested such a CVar on multiple occasions for over 4 years now. Unfortunately, Blizzard has not accommodated the community on this point yet.
