- Almost does what I want,...

Almost does what I want, It seems like I can't set the alpha and alpha up per custom state like I can for buttons, if it were possible to use this per state like the buttons then it would be exactly what I wanted. I don't know if I'm saying what I want very well, so I will try another way... I want something like when I hold down ALT (which is defined in my custom states) that I can set the alpha and alphaup setting for that state and when I release alt and go to the default state or another state like CTRL the settings will be the default for those states until I change those too. So at that point I would have it auto hide until mouseover using the alpha settings when I push ALT and when I release alt I will see my default bar fine because there is no alpha settings for that one.

(which is pretty much the same as "when expanded can't be bigger then texas", but also means the engine maul uses can't expand all macros then check size since it can never finish...it would have to do a single expansion pass, check size, then repeat until it found nothing to expand)

That sound about right. Would be a great way to manage trinkets, like the venerable Trinket Menu mod. Also a great way to quickly swap gear for whatever reason... I think a few people would for an easy weapon swap or to put on wearable quest items.

Mostly, I see it being used for trinkets. I have way too many trinkets.

Maul, Right now the pet option Doesn't work correctly so what I do is make an paged bar with row one for my healing spells and row two with my offensive spells and row three with pet buttons. then i just shift scroll to the proper bar. But I wish I could set an conditional action based on whether I was controlling an pet or vehicle. So when that happens the paged bar would switch to the row with the pet buttons, like in blizzards row buttons. The pet or Vehicle options don't work at all.

This is the 'Possess' state. You can use it on your main bar if you like by checking the Possess box in the bar properties. Then left click on the bar and it will cycle through the different states and when you get to the Possess state you can add buttons and do what you normally would with the bar. Make sure you set the button type of each button (in button edit mode) to 'Pet #', or you won't get the spells when you possess. You can also make a whole new bar for your Possess state if you prefer, or add it to any bar you like.

I can't see this as being that difficult to implement as Macaroon stands. Make your main bar, go into button binding and bind your keys, then left click on each button to 'lock' it. Then hide the main bar. Now make a bar, check Pet Bar, switch to the pet buttons, make the buttons, make the buttons all Pet #, don't bind any keys. Make another bar, check possess bar, switch it to possess state, make the buttons, make the buttons all Pet #, go into button binding and bind the buttons 1-] (this doesn't remove the bindings from main as they're locked). Bingo bango, I think you're done?
