Doesn't Work at All - Please enable debugging...

Please enable debugging by opening Core.lua in a text editor, finding this line:
if lvl > 0 then return end

and changing it to read:
if lvl > 2 then return end

Save the file and reload your UI. You should see messages detailing what the addon is doing.

If you do see messages, but the macro still isn't being updated, please report back listing the messages you see.

If you do not see messages, try logging in with only Creature Comforts enabled; if you still don't see anything, enable Lua errors in your interface options, or install BugSack, and report back with any error messages you get.

It's neither. I simply didn't consider the possibility that you'd want to remove the colon, and numbered channel messages are handled slightly differently than other chat messages. However, as this is not an issue for "normal" users, and it's not an issue for me (sorry), it's not likely I'll devote a lot of time to changing how this works. I will add it to my "things to do eventually" list, though.

I'm not seeing the same bug myself. I'm sure it's frustrating for you when an addon doesn't work. It's equally frustrating for addon authors who would like to fix bugs in their addons when users report issues but don't provide enough information for them to fix the bug or even start to guess where the bug is. Please provide the following information:

1. Did you see any error messages? If not, do you have Lua errors enabled, or an error catching addon like !BugGrabber/BugSack or Swatter enabled? If neither, turn on Lua errors or install an error catching addon, and see if you're getting error messages. If you are, copy and paste the exact error message(s) for me.

2. Did you try disabling all other addons and seeing if the problem occurred while OnScreenHealth was the only addon running? If not, go try it. If this fixes the problem, you will need to enable your other addons one by one until the problem reapppears. Then tell me which addon is actually causing the problem.

3. Did you try deleting OnScreenHealth and redownloading it? If not, go try that.

4. Did you try deleting OnScreenHealth's saved variables file and logging in with default settings? If not, go try that. If this fixes your problem, try recreating your configuration; if the problem reappears, tell me what settings you use.

5. Try deleting the Cache folder (inside your World of Warcraft folder). This will not reset any of your settings; it is simply a data cache WoW uses to access some stuff more quickly. If data in the cache gets corrupted, it can cause any number of impossible bugs.

6. Does it show all enemy targets as "Dead", or only certain targets? If only certain targets, please be specific as to which targets are displayed incorrectly.

7. Did the issue begin immediately upon logging in, or only after playing for a while? If only after a while, what were you doing when it stopped working correctly? Again, please be specific; was there a specific mob you killed? A certain zone you entered? An option you changed?

8. What locale are you playing in? English? French? Korean? etc.

I use Cartographer, and do not experience this error. Simply telling me you get this error is not enough information for me to track down and fix the problem. I need to know:

1. when the error occurs,
2. what locale you are playing in, and
3. if the error occurs with only PhanxChat and Cartographer (without any modules) are enabled.

If the answer to #3 is NO, the error is not a conflict with Cartographer, and you will need to enable your other addons one at a time until you encounter the error again. Then tell me what that addon is.

If the answer to #3 is YES, please tell me which settings in Cartographer you have changed from the defaults, or upload your Cartographer saved variables somewhere and post a link.

I have the maximum seven chat windows, all docked on the same frame, and frequently hide my UI for screenshots, and have never seen the reminder button appear incorrectly. Unless you have another addon interfering, or your framerate is extremely low, there shouldn't be any way for you to see the reminder button unless the current chat frame is not at the bottom. The button is shown or hidden with every OnUpdate, so if your framerate is 30, it's shown/hidden 30 times every second.

Have you tried:
- disabling and re-enabling the reminder button option?
- resetting your PhanxChat options profile?
- disabling all other addons?

If you've tried all of the above and still encounter the problem, let me know.

This isn't a bug in PhanxChat, then. It's a conflict between PhanxChat and Prat, which should not be run at the same time. They both do the same things at the same times, which will almost certainly cause many problems. Why are you running them both at the same time anyway?

Did you try switching the ACT icon off and then back on?

This seems to be a FuBar issue; I've noticed it occasionally with both ACT and other FuBar plugins. The easiest way to reproduce it is to hide the icon on a plugin, and then switch to another profile where the icon should be shown I often just get a blank spot instead of the icon. It does seem to happen on load sometimes as well, and I'm not really sure why, or if it's something I can fix.

Let me know if toggling it off and back on doesn't get it to show up.

Hmm. I'm using LootLink as well, and have never seen anything like that. The colors you're getting don't appear to be class colors, either. It also looks like you're using another chat mod to put <angled brackets> around player names perhaps that's causing a conflict? Try disabling everything except PhanxChat and LootLink and let me know if you still encounter the problem.

On a side note, I see you're loading Ace (1) but have 0 Ace applications registered you can probably stop loading the library if you're not using any addons that use it. :P
