My install of Windows went caput, so we bought a new harddrive, and I've got a completely fresh installation of Windows AND of the updater.... and I still get the same "Internal Error" when I try to update addons. Some precisions and, perhaps a solution: On an other Mac everything work well. The only differences between these 2 Mac reside on the location of WoW in the disk. The one which work have WoW on a Classic "/Applications/World of Warcraft" directory. But on the other Mac I can't do that because it is on a case sensitive file system and WoW refuse to be installed on these files systems. So I had created a non case sensitive partition and install WoW on this place ("/Volumes/NonCS-FS/Applications/World of Warcraft"). After, I had create a Mac OS X alias of "Volumes/NonCS-FS/Applications/World of Warcraft" in the "/Applications" directory. But Java doesn't understand anything of Mac OS X aliases !!!! After my first post I just replace the Mac OS X aliases by a classic Unix symbolic link and it work :-) Best regards PS: I have also tried to remove any link to WoW on /Applications directory. WoWInterface UI manager ask me where is WoW but this soft doesn't understand my "esoteric" choice and ask me again and again where is WoW.... If you go into the addon's folder you will find a update.wid file. You can remove this file to remove the configuration information associated with that addon. Once you've done that, it should no longer recognize that addon. A feature is being implemented in version 0.3 to do this automatically. I have windows XP with SP2, I have full admin privileges, and WoW path is C:\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns now I can manually install add-ons, and I do not have file securities turned on so when the UI Manager is ran it should be ran with the same permissions. Dug a little bit into the code. Seems the WoW installer creates the directory Interface/AddOns while your program looks for Interface/Addons (different folders under linux!). Here is a patch that fixes this problem: http://extern.tribut.de/bug-reports/wowiupdater-Main.java-casesensitive.diff The Program now appears to work fine for me! Addons are not automatically registered because of technical issues for the time being I'm working on this one.
