You can use the library CandyBar to do that, it's very easy to use : http://wiki.wowace.com/index.php/CandyBar-2.0_API_Documentation This isn't a dependency because you implant it in your addons. Could the warning when pops up, ask if you wish to rebuff/debuff/ReDOT. For exmaple, When a Dot runs out on Onyxia, Do you wish to ReDot yes or no? button, if yes is pressed then it auto targets and reapplys DOT on Onyxia then returns back to your orginal target. something like that perhaps.
