Due to extensive changes, nearly all text in Ellipsis was altered rendering language translations for anything but English inaccurate. Anybody willing to take on the task of translating the mod (and the options especially) into other languages, please PM me and we can sort out getting the mod translated once again. Thanks!
Ellipsis (indicating omission)
Typography - A mark consisting of three periods, colloquially known as 'dot-dot-dot'.
Ellipsis is an addon that features multi-target aura tracking for spells that you (and your pet) cast on others. Additionally it keeps track of your pets spells when cast on others, tracks ground-targeted AoEs, temporary minion summons and totems. Cooldowns for your items, pet abilities and your own abilities can also be tracked. Options can be accessed by typing either /ellipsis or /...
Terminology
Aura - HoTs, DoTs, Buffs & Debuffs cast by you or your pet
Unit - Yourself, your pet, party members or hostile mobs (basically anything you can hurl spells at)
Auras, Units & Unit Groups
All auras you cast are attached to the unit they are cast on and these are then seperated into one of 7 groups when displayed. The first 4 groups are based on what the unit is, the 5th is a special case (see The Non-Targeted Unit below), and the last 2 are overrides for your current target and focus to keep them seperate (if desired) from every other displayed unit. Each group can be assigned to any of the 7 available display frames, and multiple groups can be assigned to a single frame.
Example: Assign all harmful units to frame [1], and your target to frame [2] to quickly reference the DoT situation on your current target 'pulled out' from the mess of all your other DoTs.
The Non-Targeted Unit
Some auras exist without any unit to attach themselves to such as temporary minion summons, totems, and ground-targeted AoE spells. These are all grouped together under the special Non-Targeted unit, which is the sole member of the non-targeted group (and can be assigned to a display frame and sorted just like any other unit).
Installation
There are two 'mods' included with Ellipsis, the main mod itself (folder: Ellipsis) and the configuration options (folder: Ellipsis_Options). Only the first is required to use the mod, though you will not be able to change options without the latter; Ellipsis_Options is also Load on Demand and thus won't use up any resources until you begin changing options (which is also why its a seperate folder/addon).

----------------- As for the other two requests to add timers under icons and for allowing target to be made prominent. For the target prominence, not at this time sorry as I don't have as much time as i'd like to work on the mod so I went into a feature freeze with this latest version. For the timers under icons, thats a less huge change and i'll see about it, but it won't be in the next version (and probably not release which will come right after if no bugs are found). |

I have three requests today. Since all my alts use the same UI (I designed it that way), I'd really like to make it easier to setup Ellipsis. These ideas would help that, and improve the product. (IMHO)
First: I think the location of the bars should be stored with the profile. So I can just setup the default profile how I like, and then switch each alt to the default, and away we go. As it is, I have to move the bars first, and then switch to the default profile. Second: This is your call on whether you think this would be an improvement or just my own personal preference (since I don't really know how other people generally use mods) but I would love to have Default set as the initial profile. Then I wouldn't even have to do anything, and all my alts are setup. Third: I think your cooldown bar is a great implementation of a great idea. It's just ... not for me. It took awhile to figure out that I have to uncheck all three types of cooldowns for it to track, and check the "Hide while not in use" box to get it to actually go away. Could you add an Enable / Disable option? |

Just noticed that the timers for totems are still on the 2 min law, witch is incorrect. They are on 5 min (most of them anyhow) now, as blizzard has buffed them.
EDIT: I messed around with the code a bit and i found what to change and it works. Also got the Feral Spirit timer to work as well. Only problem is now that ive tried to add the wolves Spirit Walk into a timer, but i haven't been able to create it yet, even tho i have the correct spellid. Confuses me a bit, but i guess i'll find the answer soon enough

Any chance you can allow Target and maybe even focus to be added to the "Prominent Targets" bar, I'd like to keep track of my target seperatly from other things
Very nice addon so far, loving the cooldown bar. |

Is it possible to also track player debuffs? By doing so, I could track my own Weakened Soul debuff to time refreshing of PW:Shields. What do you think?

Thank you for this addon. Would it be possible to get a feature to set the timer text below the dot icon (when showing only icons)?

Water Elemental Timer
Not sure if this even attempts takes talents into affect or not, but when I create a water ele on my frost mage, it shows a No Target timer for how long the ele will be up. It says 45 seconds, but with new talents, mine's up for 1 min. Can you adjust that? Thanks! LOVE this mod, by the way!

I apologize if this has been addressed already, but I am new to the comments system here and am unsure if it is possible to search the comments.
The cooldown portion of the mod seems to do some strange things with DKs. I have noticed this in general with cooldown tracking mods and rune-using abilities, but many things that use a rune seem to be tracked as a cooldown when runes are used. I haven't done extensive testing, so I'm not positive on what I'm seeing, but I know that I was getting very spammy cooldowns on some abilities, and what looked specifically to be DK presences. Almost every time I would use a rune, I would see the presence icon's pop up on the cooldown bar. Not sure 100% what was going on. There appeared to be several abilities on the same cooldown, so I couldn't look at the other icons to see what exactly was going up there. I can keep testing this and get more info on it, but if this sort of thing is normal and has been seen before, or just requires some threshold value changes to fix, I figured I would ask =p. |
