QuestGuru
Is it possible to grab QuestGuru's quest history?
I have had that running since Lich King came out and just started using EveryQuest. Great mod. Makes me wish Blizzard would publish a quest history API so badly. |

I'd only be able to do this if someone provided a datafile from QuestHistory. Since I don't use it I don't know how it saves it's data. If it wasn't updated since 2.4 (when QuestLinks where added), then it will be much more difficult

Importing history from another AddOn
I have used for some time, and still use, an AddOn called QuestHistory. It still seems to work, but I would like to switch to something that has been maintained since the last WoW patches.
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a..._felstone.aspx Is there a way to import the history from another AddOn such as this? Edit: Looking at QuestHistory comments on curse.com, it looks like they haven't made any changes to it because it DOES still work as it is. I suppose I need not be concerned about switching to a different tool. Thank you.

There's going to be an update today (9th of December). I have to test it in game as I've added filtering and removed the view toggle since filtering takes care of that now. The only filter I don't have that I think would be good is when it was added. I'm also considering adding a texture to the quest list buttons to indicate if it's an expansion quest or not (toggle in options of course)
Other things in this update includes a displayed quests counter (takes the place of the view toggle button), updated data that includes removal of deprecated quests. Last but not least, the /everyquest slash command is being updated to allow /everyquest to show the window instead of opening the options (new convenient button in the window opens the options now) |

While you are working with quest counts in your code, wouldn't be please possible to include this number somewhere visible? With the introduction of achievements, I try to do the number of quests required for some zone... I have the history but don't know how many of them are actually displayed.
If I find out this number is lower that achievement one, I would investigate more and begin to compare my history with list of quests available. What is your opinion? Thank you. |

Slash command for log?
Help!!! I've just started using Carbonite. Is there a slash command that will bring up the EveryQuest log? I've tried /everyquest log, but all I can get is the options window. I've deleted BEQL and Doublewide, and I really MISS my EQ button that would bring up the log.

Found the error that truncates the list.
There is a function that counts the quests to display, it does not count in quests where S=0, but the list contains those quests. S=0 for the quests on Wowhead that did not have a Horde/Alliance/Both tag when the Northrend.lua file was made. Thus the questcount is lower than the listcount. It can be fixed by replacing the line if quest.s == faction or quest.s == 3 then with: if quest.s == faction or quest.s == 3 or quest.s == 0 then In the UpdateFrame() function in the Core.lua file Don't have the line number as I was using Wordpad to read the file. |

Also, I removed some of the crashing quests from the Wowhead database, in the meantime an easy way to remove some of the potential crashes would be to dig through the Northrend LUA file and remove any quest labeled "Deprecated" (there's also one called 'DEPRECAED" lol). These quests were removed before Wrath went live and the Wowhead database will be updated shortly with such quests removed. I removed them from my personal LUA file and I have experienced no other crashes. |

Great addon!
Just hope Blizzard will make a UI call soon that can retrieve quest status based on quest ID... Backtracking all quests in Outland for the achievement is a pain! Anyway, I have a small problem at the moment. The quest list for Howling Fjord stops at "[71] Of Keys and Cages", the rest of the quests are not displayed even if they are in the .lua file. |

I sometimes have the same problem as tareon, using the english client. Most of the time it works, but sometimes when I accept or turnin a quest I get the not found error, and the quest doesn't update (even though it's in the list for the zone).
