Stuf Unit Frames (and Raid)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.2.101
by: totalpackage, Uitat

Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.

Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

  • Option to only show custom text on mouse-over
  • Latency indicator for player casting bar
  • Arena Frames
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icons
  • Option to use Lua instead of text patterns for advanced users
  • Option to save per character

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target
  • Target, target of target, and target of target of target
  • Focus and target of focus
  • Party with their pets and targets
  • Arena with their pets and targets (new in v3.1.005)
  • StufRaid - main raid, raid pets, and raid roles (tanks/assist) and their target and target of target (does not and will not support oRA2/CTRA MT/PT)

Notable Features:
  • Easy transition from Blizzard default frames
  • Cast bars for the main units
  • Dispellable debuff visual
  • Target and focus timer bars for your buffs/debuffs
  • Threat bars on target and focus
  • Shaman totem timers, Death Knight rune bars, and Druid mana bar
  • Low memory and CPU usage compared to popular unit frame mods
  • Customization similar to Discord Unit Frames
  • LibSharedMedia-3.0 support for textures and fonts
  • Ace3 dialog config is used for the options GUI
  • Stuf_Range - LibRangeCheck-2.0 support for estimated distance on target and focus
  • Clique support for click-casting
  • ClassColors custom class color and ConfigMode support for one-button-config
  • ButtonFacade support for aura icon skins (may be buggy)

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

Hello, I have a few questions:

How can I put my health bar with the others of my party? In the same "column". I don't see the option.

How can I see the hots of everybody by his side? Like healbot. I use this addon but now I prefer use Clicker and Stuf and I need to know how I can see the icons of active hots for track them with timer and not mixed with others buffs, I'm a Druid healer.

A lot of thanks and Stuf is great!

Check out "Aura Filters".

And, is chance donate you for your work ?

Me version is 3.3.002.

PS: This addon is TOP for player frames in this game, very good work man, and sorry for me eng.
For each text, you have to make sure the text has a shadow to show. This is done by making sure the "Shadow Offset X" and "Shadow Offset Y" are not "0".

"deficithp" (info tag that shows lost hp) and "hp99" (condition tag to only show text if hp is less than 99%) are what you're probably looking for.

There's a donate button at the bottom of the description page.

Custom Lua is the way to go. I don't want to have to put 3 more color options and a text tag for one unit for one class.

Just throw that into a custom lua field. I am concerned as I was sure that pet happiness was shown cleartext.. Not via a 1 2 3 system.
Awesome! Thank you so much! This will do exactly what I want! I just don't want to show the happiness Icon and I was thinking there was a colortag for the happiness:name but I guess there isn't.

Re: Re: Aggro Border Color

I'm sorry if it is in the options but I was curious as to how I can get my Pets name colored Happiness? I have no idea how to do custom Lua, and was wondering if this was a stock option? Thanks!

Also, I thought of a catch phrase that you might like!

"Almost like Duf... But with more Stuf!"
lol, I thought it was catchy :P

Not possible with Stuf.

Adjust the alpha value of the aggro color to be visible. For the text, "hbred" should be "hpred".

I'll look into the "focus" problem. Number shortening is global only, unless you use advance text.

Aggro Border Color

Hi, first off this is a great mod and ty for taking the time to make it. I am having a bit of trouble though. I can 't seem to get the border color to show up. the aggro color that is. Have it set to red. Doesnt seem to show up. I tested to make sure my main frame borders were not covered up by my health bar or energy borders, and the portrait borders as I use them all. Currenty I have my borders set to white and using the WOW tooltip border. Any suggestions? I only have installed Stf and Stuff options, not the raid or healing or range modules. Can you help me. Im a tank and need to see aggro from party members. Also tried a text in textbox 6. Think this is [hbred_if_aggro:name][solid_ifnot_aggro:name]. That combo didnt seem to work. Tried this to compensate for the border color not showing up. Any help?

Thank You,
Larinicus

I'm currently working on multiple languages of STUF myself anyway, using AceLocale-3.0 to not mess up the original codes.

Regarding localization, there is a minor problem with the focus frame name, in some languages (zhCN and zhTW specificly) the frame name focus is different from the energy type focus, and _G.FOCUS returns energy type focus on those clients, may cause a little misunderstanding.

I'd love to see the MT frames moved to the regular unit frame package. As a healer I prefer Grid or VuhDo over the Stuf raid frames. I think it's a great thing to separate the raid frames from the normal frames, but for everyone who isn't using the stuf raid frames, access to the MT frames would be great.
I don't see how MT frames are not related to raid. Maybe request the raid addon alternatives to make their own MT frames?
