Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To
• Wowinterface.com for hosting my UI.
• Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.
• The AddOn authors that created the mods used in this UI.
• The users who have made this UI popular. I appreciate all the kind words I have received here and in my tankspot.com thread.

Help and Support
• For a more detailed explanation on how to download and install this UI please read my guide: A Guide to Downloading User Interfaces

You need to complete these steps in order or it won't work.

1) Back up and remove or completely delete your WTF and Interface folders.

2) Download my UI and delete Cool Down Count and Status Window. Then drop the folders in.

3) DO NOT UPDATE any mods.

4) Log in the game (yes there will be errors) and set the profiles per my instructions on the download page.

5) Log out and THEN update.

I think the problem is your updating mods before you set my profiles and that's causing them to be wiped.

Try that and let me know. Otherwise you will have to wait a few more weeks. I just can't see releasing a new version this soon, only to need to update it yet again a day later.
That's exactly what i was doing wrong man and once i did those steps, worked like a charm. Tyvm

The artwork comes from the Grizzly Shared Media folder. You will need that folder + updated KG panels + the correct profile selected.

If you go into the LUA:Name and change the script to this it should work. It's returning class colored names for me without showing the away/dnd tags. I've re-added the status tags to health text so that they'll still show health status like dead.

Code:
local cr,cg,cb = ClassColor(unit)
return "|cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r ",cr,cg,cb,Name(unit)
Thanks for your efforts. Personally I think I'm going to keep it on, I like being able to know when someone is afk in a raid.

I'm just REALLY bad at making things look nice/beautifull.

however, I did exactly what you told me to for pitbull and nothingis showing up as raidframes and the ui-frames look correct exept they are missing the faces, so it's quit plane gray atm.

For kg panels I just can't seem to figure out how you made them, mine look ugly (I tried several background/border combinations but none come close to yours)

thx, again
I think the background is Nomatext and the border is Hal. Beyond that all the information is there when you download my UI when you open the config for KG panels. Same with Pitbull.

I'm not giving step by step instructions out, it would take to long.

One thing I noticed is that in the config panel there are no panels listed under Active Panels. I'm assuming that during the latest WOW patch it has deleted my panels.. Any idea if I'm correct? If so, any clues as to how to get them back? If I'm not correct... help!!!

Thanks!!

If your going to straight up copy paste my set up, some credit for it when you put out your down load would be appreciated. Its not my addon so I can't say no.

I'ld like to use the same art for the kgpanels as you, where can i find it? import it? and so on.

I would also like to configure my pitbull in the same way as you have, (both ui-frames and raidframes) is there an easy way to copy yours? (if i'm allowed?)

I really need(want) those thingsspereate becauss i've allready done allot of other work I don't want to see lost.

sorry for bothering you with this during the hectic week after patch but thx in any case if you reply

If you know how to edit that to only return the name I'd love to know too. If not I'll post it as soon as someone on the pitbull page replies.
