Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To
• Wowinterface.com for hosting my UI.
• Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.
• The AddOn authors that created the mods used in this UI.
• The users who have made this UI popular. I appreciate all the kind words I have received here and in my tankspot.com thread.

Only other thing I can't figure out is why the minimap buttons aren't showing up in the MinimapButtonFrame. If I disable Chinchilla, I can see all the blizzard minimap buttons in the MBF (Tracking, zoom in, zoom out, etc.), but when I re-enable it, the only buttons that show up are the calendar button, and a couple other buttons from my other addons (Altoholic and Smartbuff). There's also a space in between the Calendar and the Altoholic button, almost as if there's an invisible button. Any thoughts?
That's because I use a limited amount of buttons or it would grow outside the box I made for them. I use slash commands to open a lot of my addons instead of have a button take up space on my screen. Since I'm only configuring once in a while there is no need to have a button for every mod out all the time.

type /mbf

Start playing with the filters and sorting options to get what you want shown and spaced how you like.

Heya,

Just downloaded the UI today, and am planning on giving it a whirl. Just from my initial configuration effort, I had a few questions I was hoping you might be able to answer:

1) Not really a question, but in your addon description section of the UI page, you might want to add in MinimapButtonFrame. I deleted all the addons so I could update them, and when I loaded the UI, took me a couple mins to realize which addon was missing from that kgpanel.
Good catch Ill add that.

2) On page 20 of the thread, you mention that you used to use archud to put in the 3d target images. I noticed it's archud3 now, however, I don't see anything that says it allows for 3d imaging. Was that functionality discontinued, and is that why you removed it from the UI? If so, any other good ones I could potentially integrate into my version?
I have no idea. I discontinued using Archud because it had not been updated in ages. I used it for my targeting frames and the hash bars as my player portrait the same way I use the current hud addon I have Icehud.

The best hud addon Ive found is the one I'm using. Icehud.

3) If I wanted to add in my own portrait frame for my character, how do I set it up in Pitbull? I see that there is a potrait module enabled in the settings, but I can't figure out where to add it (Layout manager, unit manager, etc.).
Go into the Units section and enable the player frame, its disabled.

4) I can't seem to figure out how to configure Raven to not show the map tracking features (i.e., trainers, repair, etc.) as buffs. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

After updating everything available so far the only mod you should have to disable is Miks Scrolling Combat Text.

Everything else should work, so you can revert the changes I listed if you made them.

4.1

4.1 Patch Day Survival Guide

Get all available updates to addons in the pack and keep checking for new ones.

As of 6:30pm Central Time the following actions have given me a green bug sack (as in no errors).

Disable the following addons at your character selection screen:
-Miks Scrolling Combat Text
-MSBT Options
-Outfitter (Ive applied the recent update, its still borked, so turn it off.)
-Rating Buster
-Recount

Log in and type /pitbull

Select Modules on the left side and expand it.

Select Hide Blizzard Frames and un-check Party.

Then from the Modules menu select Portrait and un-check the box.

This should leave you with no errors for the time being.

That's the commanding shout icon. Its telling you that you have no stamina buff, a very important thing to know as a warrior tank.

But to remove it type /raven

That will open the config to the buff/debuff mod. Select the drop down for bar groups and disable the Notifications one.

That opens the scrolling combat text, which controls that notification. I can't recall exactly where in the options it is, but its in there. You can also check out the link to the addon in the list at the bottom of my download page if you need help.
