DevlinUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 5-r2
by: Devlin [More]

*** BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION NOTES BELOW ***

DevlinUI is now updated to 4.2!

The UI in action - 25 man raid
http://youtu.be/DaxHrV0lFZw?hd=1

NOTE: This UI is designed to work based on my own preferences and conditions first and foremost, which means

Resolution: 1920x1080
Situation: PvE (10/25-man Raid)
Role: Rogue/DPS
Using this package under different conditions may or may not result in a horrible looking UI and/or require additional configuration.

NOTE: If you are not using this UI for a Rogue, you should active ClassTimer and deactive ChronoBars in the Addon listing at the character screen. I have not set up ChronoBars for any class other than Rogue. You can easily set up ChronoBars by yourself if you know what to do though.

I will not include any addons that I do not use myself. Requests of this sort will be discarded.

Issues
  • Updating PhanxBuffs manually will most likely result in a different look than the one included in this package.
  • As this UI is setup for rogues in particular, there may be some power (holy power, runes etc) and/or pet issues for the other classes.
  • If you come across an error or issue please let me know by posting in the addon comments.

Installation notes
  1. Backup (really; Backup! Backup! Backup! Backup!) your existing WTF and Interface folders in your WoW directory, then remove them.
  2. Unzip/unrar DevlinUI5-r2.rar and place the containing Fonts, Interface and WTF folders directly in your WoW directory so it looks like this.
    \World of Warcraft\Interface
    \World of Warcraft\WTF
    \World of Warcraft\Fonts
*** Remember to do the following steps for EACH account/character you want to have this addon-pack installed for ***
  3. Open the WTF -> Account folders, and rename the "Account name" folder to your own account's name.
    (example: Devlin)
  4. Open the "Account name" folder you just renamed, and rename the "Server name" folder inside to correspond to your server's name.
    (example: Outland)
  5. Open the "Server name" folder you just renamed, and rename the "Character name" folder inside to correspond to your character's name.
    (example: Devlin)
  6. Launch the game.
  7. When in the game, it will look like a total mess. Don't worry, it's fixed with one simple command!
  8. Type:
    /reflux switch DevlinUI
*** Please note that this is CaSe-sEnSiTiVe! ***
  9. Enjoy the game!

I am not particularly fond of getting messaged in-game regarding the UI. However, if you absolutely must get a hold of me you can probably find me at any of the following locations:

Ok since 3.2 when i change spec via duel spec the default experience/reputation bar comes up over my buttons and i can't seem to find a way to disable it or stop it from happening in the first place. Relogging does sort it but i'd rather not relog after every spec change.

Any ideas?

Post DevlinUI 4

I've finally come around to update this pack!

As it's been almost precisely a year since the last update, it might be a bit jagged when it comes to "user-friendliness". Also, I haven't really tested it as thoroughly as I would've wanted, so there might be some issues that I should've fixed before releasing it here. See it as a beta-collection!

If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment!

Hope you enjoy my UI!

Re: DevlinUI 4

Hello Devlin!

First of all, Sorry for my bad english (I'm brazillian ^^)

I have Dowload your UI, and it Works perfectly (1680x1050)!

The Problem is: Grid Addon.

I went to ICC with my guild, and everything has worked, except the grid.

Please, see the screenshot on how it look like:

http://img704.yfrog.com/img704/25/wo...1710033615.jpg

I have to say on thing before you guys see this ss:

I wanted to test it in the 3.3.2 wow Backup, so i tried it in an private server =/

all in the inferface works, only the Grid doesn't, can you help me?

Thanks for your further answers =)

Hello!

It seems that you are using some other addons that might cause conflicts with my package. The problem I see in the screenshot is that you have two sets of unitframes (Pitbull and X-Perl) in the middle overlapping each other.

Grid is the addon that goes in the bottom right box (it is empty in your screenshot), and it is only visible when you are in a raid group. As you don't seem to be in a raid group in this screenshot I can't really tell what your issue is.

My suggestion is to backup all your old addons (Interface) and settings (WTF) folders, remove the folders from your WoW directory, and make a clean install of my package.

Hello again!

By that new screenshot I can see that you have not used the installation guide that comes with this package, or that you have simply overwritten your old addons with this package. I guess it's a bit of both. Either way, as I said before, first and foremost you should backup your current Interface and WTF folders, remove them from your WoW directory, and install my package clean. If you already did this and problem still exist, let me know.

Once in the game, you type /reflux switch DevlinUI to get all my settings, and it should look like in my screenshot.

To open tickets you have to enable the "Micro Menu" bar in Bartender: /bar -> Micro Menu -> check enable.

Wonderful UI, however screen resolution is different so Ive had to move some things around. Ive hit an issue however, what addon is it thats the cast bar?
As is when I cast it collides with my health bar, and while its a minor thing, it bugs me mainly on my caster alts. Could you by chance specify which one it is? It isnt Pitbull I think since cast bars are disabled.

Hello!

Glad you like it so far. The cast bar addon is called Quartz. Menu is: /quartz

Hope that helps!
