SquidFrame allows you to change your standard WoW Player Frame... Type /squidframe or /sf for option menu. You can use an optional alt click command to drag the frame wherever you like; and it has a 3D portrait just for fun.

Note:
I first started with [Class Player Frame] which didn't have the option to change the player frame in-game and I don't know how to do that . But then I remember about [SquidMod] (I always love this addon since SAM first started it) now maintained by Ganders, instead of gryphon I want to change player frame so it's pretty much the same useless addon .
I uses most of the codes from SquidMod by Ganders for SquidFrame to work, so the credits goes to him. I just want to share this addon.

Note:
currently updated by Triadian v2.0 onwards

not sure what designs i could put on something like a kobold ? just pick one for all or what suggestions did you have ????

the only things in my pipeline are making movable and possibly sizable bars/text for example you could have vertical health bars on a handmade frame etc.

Oh you don't necessarily need to design more (though welcome to do so) to use with the focus, target, and target of target frames.

Using say, the single and dual wield designs (Warrior) for target and target/target could be interesting... or whatever a person wants to use.

I'm just asking if the ability to also change these other frames will be coming along our way?

ok i had a go at it

for strangers/mobs it just pulls the class and uses a standard frame.

although the targetoftarget frame is too small and placed wrong to be made pretty - so i'm leaving that alone.

i intend on adding it to focus frame aswell - pulling from the raid/party although not sure if i can pull the exact spec frame used in intuiframe so it may just be standard frames but its progress.

note most NPC's are warriors but it should pick up if they are not and it leaves the original elite and rare frames over the top of the pretty frames.

Are you thinking of adding in the options to personally change (force) the design for target and focus frames?

Of course this would require expanding upon what you already have for the mod in the options screen, not sure if you wanted to put that much more work into the mod.

I only ask, and mention, because people do love options... especially options they can change.

hmmmm.... i wasn't going to, not cause its more work as thats never an issue, its more that unless i give options based on all the classes then it would be just 1 frame for all, which i dont think people would choose ? would they?
i guess i could do a if you see a hunter - which frame etc

your welcome to give comments on how you WANT it to work from the prefs side of things.

Well I'm thinking that, much like how you have it now, the option to actively select which "frame" will be assigned to focus or target (permanent) rather than let the mod select for you based on your target's class.

That would then require additional expansion to the options. Possibly another drop down where the user selects "Player, Target, Focus" or something along those lines.

You may also need to put in a checkbox that turns on "Test Phase" or something, which would bring up the target and focus frames for testing purposes only.

Just throwing out ideas.

due to comments on curse, im considering updating squidmod too.

so what i'm thinking is having 4 seperate but the grouped mods.
squidframes = the core files
squidplayer = the player settings
squidfocus = the focus settings
squidtarget = the target focus
squidbar = the endcaps of the casting bar

all can be on or off - each with their own savable settings etc.
this would allow for way more options etc...

so thanks for the prefs ideas - pretty sure thats the way im headed

This is good, I like.

I do one have one optional request. Since the "Focus" frame can be unlocked and moved around, by the default unmodded settings of the UI, the ability to switch which direction the design face would be nice.

For those of us who cram the focus frame to the left side of the screen, having the graphics face right like with the player frame would be great... and vice versa.

Intuitive Bug

I've noticed that when I uncheck the "Intuitive" option and force a particular design for the player frame, this option doesn't save. The design keeps reverting to the default for my class. Can you confirm?

confirmed and fixed my end but its in with the squid mod patch v2.3a - which is ready to go but figured too soon to release :P
