Summary
FastQuest Classic is an addon to enhance quest log displaying, quest tracking, and quest progress notification.
History of FastQuest Classic
FastQuest Classic was originally called "FastQuest" and was written by Vashen. Vashen had left WoW after he released the great FastQuest 2.11. Since then, FastQuest has some minor udpates made by some fans including Alfred. While I am trying to contact Vashen and Alfred to seek for some other minor update for FastQuest, I did not get any response from them at that time. Then I decide to picked it up and try to fixed some minor issues. I then register an continued addon on Curse. Since that, FastQuest is released with version number like 2.11.1, 2.11.2, 2.11.3, etc.
When the TBC was going to be released in US and Europe, Vashen was back and he decided to continue the implementation. Vashen started the new FastQuest with version number 3.x and was supported with Titan and Fubar. I saw Vashen's messages and actions, I was thinking it's about the time to turn this great addon and credits back to Vashen.
However, there are some players still love the classic and standalone FastQuest, including me. So I decide to rename the addon name to "FastQuest Classic" and started from version 2.11.207.

turn in your quest, but that's only to those who actually read it

No comments in over a year...still awake?
I *really* liked this addon, because it (combined with a macro) let me complete Lunar Elders in one click, making it easier to do in places of high threat (L19 Blood Elf Rogue in Ironforge, for example).
However, it seems to act up in various ways. Things I don't like: Even when set to NoDrag, the blizz quest thingie on screen (Titled 'Objectives' and that has a open/close button, not sure what it's called) has a larger area where clicks on the window (for instance, to move the camera) do not get to the window, but are grabbed by the frame and causes the the thingie to be moved. I frequently find the objectives thing at the bottom of my screen when, as far as I know, I hadn't touched it, *and* it was set to No Drag. This is the biggest thing that is a problem for me. Sometimes it successfully announces to non-nearby chat, and sometimes it simply announces multiple times to nearby chat - I have it set to notify nearby and guild chat, and it comes through twice in nearby and not at all in guild. (Yes, I can talk on guild chat.) This may be an issue with Blizz also, but when one has the objective for a quest, it may be 'complete', but you still have to run back and turn it in - thus, it's not really complete in the sense of 'still something to do'. Blizz marks these 'complete', but leaves them in the Objectives window. FQC says "COMPLETE!" and removes them. I've forgotten a bunch of turn-ins due to this. (I don't like Blizz calling it complete either, but there it is.) I never got different colors, or levels in front of the name, or anything like that. I don't have any other quest-affecting addons installed, never mind activated. Still -- thank you VERY much, as this enabled me to do things I couldn't do otherwise. |

It doesn't seem to display the quest names in the quest log as I have it set to, i.e. it doesn't show the level number in front of the quest name.

Two issues: First, the (currently borked) Blizzard quest frame seems to reappear when this is enabled. Secondly, the text overlaps in a weird way.
