BittersUI V5.0.4j (Updated for Mists of Pandaria patch 5.1-Landfall)
Included addons are the newest versions from WowInterface/WowAce/Curseforge as of 3:45pm PST, 11-29-2012
Interface compilation based around PvE raiding with several tools/addons helpful for raid leading or for people that just like to have more information available, yet displayed in a neat and compartmentalized manner.
Created in (1920x1080 Widescreen)
BittersUI by Bitterst of <Ascent> US-Thrall, <Void> US-Mug'thol, <Shadow Remains> US-Earthen Ring

*Note: These videos are from the previous UI build (now using Grid2 instead of original Grid, Raven instead of ElkanoBuffBars, as well as some other minor changes). The new UI has been cleaned up even more, and as a result, runs smoother while using less memory. I'll be getting a current UI video up on my Youtube channel with a direct link to that here to show the slight changes while using the alternate tanking and healing profiles for Grid2 (BittersUIwarrior and BittersUIdruid).
Description:
I recreated this UI after accidentally deleting (technically overwriting) my previous interface. It is the end result of many hours of fine tuning and tweaking little details and getting everything to line up just how I wanted them, and moving the various elements to be both visual pleasing and not overwhelming to when in a raid scenario. While there is quite a bit of information displayed, things are positioned away from the center of the screen that aren't as important and generally everything is at least semi-transparent so that the opacity doesn't prevent anything on the game screen from being fully viewed.
The main profile (BittersUI) was originally made on my hunter, but then was also transfered so far to my tank (BitterUIwarrior) protection warrior, and also to my healer (BittersUIdruid) restoration/balance druid. Any addon that has a profile will need to be set to BitterUI (with the exception of the few variations that you can try for tanking/healing by choosing the appropriate profile, BittersUIwarrior/BittersUIdruid, for Clique, Dominos, or most noticably, Grid2).
This description area will be update with more details as I can about each addon's use in this compilation, but also any questions or comments can be posted in the comments section, and I'm the type of person that will regularly check and respond so have comfort in frequent updates as necessary =D
Installation:
Step 1: Backup the following folders in your main "World of Warcraft" directory (Fonts, Interface, WTF) and rename them (Fonts2, Interface2, WTF2). You were warned incase anything goes wrong or you don't like something!
Step 2: Copy the included folders from the extracted "BittersUI.zip" file and place them into your main "World of Warcraft" directory.
Step 3: Navigate into your new "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account" folder and locate the folder named "YOURACCOUNTNAME" and rename that to be your account name (not your Battle.net account name) in all capital letters.
Step 4: Navigate into your newly renamed folder, previously "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME", and inside you should locate a new folder named "YourServerName". Rename that folder with the exact name of the server of your main account (you can also duplicate copies of this folder and name them appropriately for additional servers that you may use).
Step 5: Navigate one last time into your newest renamed folder, previously "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME\YourServerName", and inside you should locate a new folder named "YourCharacterName". Rename that folder with the exact name of your primary character on that server (you can also duplicate copies of this folder and name them appropriately for additional alts that you may use on that server).
Step 6: Log into your character.
Step 7: Type /reflux switch BittersUI
(Last step is Case Sensitive!)
Addons & Configuration:
The following list contains the full selection of addons included:
*Notes:
-All addons were downloaded from either WowInterface, WowAce, or Curse and can still be found there if yours becomes out-of-date and this UI compilation isn't updated fast enough for you. Just beware that some addons have modified .lua files and may break certain elements with an update from another source.
-This UI Compilation includes custom fonts, icons, and other miscellaneous graphics for buttons, chat frames, dialog frames, and tooltips. These are all included in the download.
(Source location for included addons. Make sure to check both locations for the latest Alpha if you need a specific addon updated on your own. Excluded site if latest version was significantly behind compared to the other site, indicating that the author doesn't use it as often.)

Re: Re: Grid2 Font
Just as an update, I fixed the alt character code issue with the OldRepBold font and will be uploading it in the next update. Essentially, I just added all the missing characters from another font so that there aren't any missing files now. Should fix any issues with chat or names appearing blank =D

Grid2 Font
This is an absolutely awesome UI. Thank you for sharing it with everyone.
I am having one issue though with some of the player's names not being able to show up for Grid2. They use the funky letters require alt and numbers. Is there something that I am missing in order to change the font for Grid2 so that their names will appear? I have used /grid2 and changed the font there but it does not take effect. Thank you in advance for any help. |

@Adanessa
Sorry I haven't been able to get back to you sooner (busy playing!), but I did get to do Shado-pan Monastery and didn't have any problems seeing the bar for Meditate (Alternate Power Bar). Between that and the strange Cascade issue, I'd suggest reinstalling the entire UI fresh. Save a copy of your WTF folder and then drag in .lua files into the Saved Variables folder for settings that you personally customized that differ from the base installation. This would be the easiest way to get back to what you had while updating everything fresh. If at any point you run into a problem with a specific addon, you'll know that your old .lua Saved Variable file was the issue. For the positioning of Cascade, is it because perhaps you're not using a 1920x1080 resolution? Or maybe your UI scale in the options (System -> Advanced -> UI Scale) was somehow altered. It should be check on, and then all the way at the lowest setting to make the UI scaling as small as possible. |

Now, the other question I was about to ask is...I can't figure out why my scrolling text from MikScrollingBattleText is cutting into the area that Recount is supposed to be... I took a screenshot and moved Recount so you could see what I mean: I tried looking in the options for that addon and I couldn't really find anything to move it, so I was wondering if there was something else I could look at to fix it, or if I just need to reinstall the UI?

CustomPlayerPowerBarAlt Type /cppba should open a config menu where you can click the red "Show/Hide" button to preview the location the Meditate bar should appear. Again, I'll double check and edit this post later when I can confirm that it's working, as other mechanics that use this alternative power bar (like the counter for monkeys at the beginning of Stormstout Brewery) have been working correctly for me. |

Hey! Loving the UI! Just wondering how I can make the Meditate button show up at the last boss of Shando-Pan Monastery. Apparently he puts a rage effect on you which you get rid of with a button the fight gives you on your UI, but it isn't showing up with BittersUI. Know any way I can make it show up with yours?
Thank you again for the awesome UI! So far, other than that it's been amazing! |

Thank you!
I've been using this UI since March and never felt the need to check out another. It's absolutely perfect. And the new version is even easier to set up for each character. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your work and for sharing with us.

Once enabled, you should see it above DominosActionBar2 at the very bottom of the Grid2 frame. Left/middle/right clicking on the bar will toggle the display between "Experience" and "Reputation" mode. |
