BlkUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.3B
by: Blacksad [More]

RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

A sleek looking, minimalist, all purpose Rogue UI.

Everything is set to track buffs/debuffs/procs/CD times in PvE and should require next to no setup.

Although this is set up to be Rogue specific, you can simply use any character class.

For PvP target defensive cooldowns are tracked via Weakauras, and personal CC abilities via icons above nameplates.

Let me know if you have any questions.

(Ctrl click Skada button to reset data)

Directions:

The person who downloads this has to unpack everything using an application which can unzip folders (Winzip, etc.), and then put all the folders in his / her World of Warcraft folder.

Copy your current WTF/Interface folders to your desktop to back them up before installing.

You then place the downloaded WTF/Interface folders into your Wow directory in their place.

When you download this, edit the folders to rename them from the generic "Account Name", "Server", "Character" to your actual accountname - the same goes for the server- and characternames. Do this first, before you even load up the game. Otherwise, the settings for everything will not take, and you may have to do it over to get everything working properly.

Upon entering game, make sure all addons are enabled! Make sure "Load out of date Addons" is checked!!!

Once loaded with all addons enabled, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to install BlkUI. Choose "Yes", and you should be pretty much good to go.

If any profiles for specific addons have issue loading, you may choose the Blk_UI profile for said addon.

You can then copy your bindings-cache.wtf and macros-cache.txt in from your backed up desktop folders, and keep your previous macros/keybindings.

Don't update Sharedmedia or Sharedmedia: Additional Fonts, as they it will overwrite the in-game font settings.

Addons Included:

Aurora, Bagnon, Bartender, Gnosis, Raven, Fonter, VuhDo, HideBossFrame, HideRaidFrame, Stuf Unit Frames, Reflux, SharedMedia, WeakAuras, Phanxchat, SexyMap, Skada, KgPanels, Tidyplates, Tiptac, DBM, HideBlizzardRaidFrame, Rogue Spam Reborn.

Changed loader to work correctly. (Thanks to Real of RealUI!)

Added in the option to toggle most of the UI on/off at will.

Redid boss frames to look better and have a castbar.

Lots of odds and ends.

Chat frame

I'm having some issues with the new chat frame. If I toggle to show the chat frame, two windows appear the the black corner outline is cutting through what appears to be the normal chat box (seems to be chat box 1). Chat box 3 appears and fits with the black corner outline but does not show any information inside of it, or messages. There is no micro menu tab button, profession button/bar10 button, or bar5 button as described near the chat frame.

Otherwise, still is a great UI and will use it for a long time now.

Also, is there a way to show if an enemy has been tagged? I like to do rare hunting and sometimes it gets confusing whether I tagged the monster first.

Edit: Ok I see the problem. When I toggle the chat frame UI via the button near the CD bar, it opens 2 chat windows. Chat frame 1 or general chat box is not lined up with the black border, which is also not lined up with the bottom left corner. I guess some minor coord numbers got mixed up causing this. The 3 extra buttons near the general chat box is anchored correctly, not problems with that. Guess I'll be fiddling with kgpanels :P

So what I did was remove chatbox 3 from your chat toggle script (don't know why that was included, that box was useless) and had to anchor the chat box frame to chatbox1, and change its location (way out of whack). Then I had to reduce chatbox1's size and move it closer to the corner. No idea why my stuff was all messed up there but it's ok, some minor stuff anyways.

I would share them, but I don't exactly have the right to do that . Just type /kgpanels config and look at chat box frame and chat box toggle and chat box toggle 2. Find the "onclick" script (you can find that by extending "active panels" and extending "chat box toggle" and the 2nd one. Delete the line which includes something along the lines of "chatbox3" for both scripts to each panel. Now, go to the chat box frame and under the "anchor" section and change the numbers from 3 to 1 in each field. Now all you have to do is unlock your general chat box and put it wherever you want, and to much surprise the buttons appear on the left side fine. So, go back to the chatbox frame panel and in the "nudge" section you can move the chat box frame to where it should be (just press the "left, right, down, up" buttons).

I haven't downloaded the 2.3B, using 2.3A atm.

Actionbars not showing right

This looks really great! However Im having trouble with my actionbars...
When the UI is installed, it looks like this:

No actionbars

When I press the actionbar toggle, it looks like this:

3 actionbars, all in the bottom right corner. How do I get my main actionbar to always show in the bottom middle like in the screenshots for this UI?

The actionbar in the middle is to track your cooldowns. The side action bars which you can toggle on/off are for your actual keybindings, and are generally always hidden.

Is your resolution at 1920x1080? If it isn't, you have to manually move a few things around.

Being the update was not but a few hours ago, they haven't updated them yet. Just click "load out of date addons" under the addons tab in the meantime. The update did absolutely nothing but an update to the terms of service, which addon authors don't really rush to post updates for sometimes.

I'm wondering...even though I have several characters on different servers,I'm just putting in the name of my "main" Character and the "Main" server im on.

maybe I havta actually put in the names of "all " of the characters and "all " the servers...

going to give this a try, in hopes to alleviate the issues I'm having.

Yes you do. It also overwrites some files (stuf for example) in the global dir. Easiest wáy to install is to just do it for all chars you´ll be using it on and -then- configure everything.

If you are talking about the timeline its raven, and if not I suspect you are talking about the 'offensive abilities' (iirc) in weakauras.

Is there any way to make the combo points 'straight' (not slanted)? And how do I change the backdrop (only interested in shape and possibly size).
