SixUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 11.0.16
by: Sixthly [More]

SixUI
SixUI provides a minimal design with pixel-perfect borders accross all UI scales and screen sizes, with support for skinning Blizzard's HUD and many third-party AddOns. It does not skin Blizzard's dialogs and windows, which is an intentional design choice. The following layouts are included:

- Standard: Designed for playing with an MMO mouse, featuring Naga-style action bars.
- Damage: Designed for playing with a keyboard.
- Minimal: Designed for playing with a WeakAuras pack that replaces action bars.
Features
- Easy to install and update.
- Edit Mode compatibility.
- Layouts for damage and healing roles.
- LibDataBroker compatibility with many included plugins.
- Pixel perfect, customizable borders.
- Skinned Blizzard action bars, auras, chat frame, and minimap.
- Skinning support for many third-party AddOns.
- Some basic quality of life automations.
Instructions
- Install SixUI and any supported or suggested AddOns you are interested in.
- Log in to your character.
- When SixUI's setup frame opens, review the changes and click "Apply All."

11.0.16
  • Add hints to tooltips. Hints can be disabled in each display's
    context menu.
  • Add more localization strings.
  • Display Durability: Show item level when durability is high (80%).
The display mode and item level source can be configured in the
    display's context menu.
  • Display Guild: Add a list of communities to the context menu.
  • Display History: Replace the secondary tooltip with a context
    menu.
  • Display Valor: Track Gilded Harbinger Crests instead of Valor.
  • Integration Skada: Add a migration for importing SixUI's
    profile.
  • Integration Skada: Resolve an issue where windows could have empty
    space.
  • Resolve an issue where a display could sometimes be missing its
    border.
  • Resolve an issue where action buttons were sometimes not fully
    skinned.
  • Resolve an issue where Grid2 had a visible black border.
  • Resolve an issue where the Edit Mode layout could desync when
    changing specialization.

Known Issues:
  • The "Objective Tracker Auto-Collapse" aura is blocking interactions
with quest items directly from the objective tracker.

Moveanything is included to handle the placement of bliz frames, things like action bars and unit frames can all be moved/edited to suit your needs, bartender settings are accessed via /bt and for the unit frames /suf, party/raid frames are probably handled by Vuhdo, /vuhdo opt nothing is ever written in stone when it comes to addons, tinker and tweak away
Thats the thing, I did try to move it using its own options and stuff, but for example, the bars from bt are actually stuck, you cant move them. When you try to move raid frames, the background/border is stuck in its original position.

This UIs border/background combination is exactly what I was trying to do with my own UI but didnt have any luck. Anyone know what border this is?

Then Six has added custom code that is probably triggered for a fresh toon/install within the SixUI folder, best waiting for a reply from Six as I generally use kgpanels for backrounds/borders ect, as far as using /bt when the window opens on the upper left make sure the "lock" box is unchecked.

It is unchecked, even if I move the bar, it stays in its default position.

I am glad you are enjoying the user interface. Have you checked the "Filters" option at the top right of the calendar?
I rechecked, the filters have no effect on it. To further clarify the situation, im missing the planned raids which I'm invited for. I am not missing resets or lockouts.

When I disable SixUi and log in, They reappear in my calendar.
I don't use this particular UI, but just looking at the included addons Bazooka is the only one I see that could interfere with events on your calendar, either disable or go into the bazooka settings and make sure it isn't grabbing event info to show on a bar, been ages since I've used Bazooka so not sure where to look specifically.
Well, I already tried disabling Bazooka and every other addon. It's somewhere in the SixUi Lua but I have no idea where and how to edit this.

Pretty sure it's located in the Addons\SixUI\Modules\Layout\Layout.lua I'm no lua wiz, so I have no idea if the x y locations are set only during a clean install or if changing them after has any effect, sorry I can't help more, this one is for the author

@Taotao, Ryjer:

The biggest disadvantage of my user interface is the lack of ability to move frames without editing a file. However, I would also consider it to be the biggest advantage because the frames are always perfectly positioned. In the future I would love to add in-game options for controlling modules and moving frames.

For now, you will have to edit SixUI.xml. Type "/reload" to apply any changes.

In regards to Layout.lua - the purpose of this file is to attach third party frames to my frames - you should not need to modify this file. By moving frames from inside SixUI.xml, you will also be moving the attached frames. If you do it the other way around then the backgrounds and borders will be out of position.

I have changed the way Blizzard_Calendar is loaded to be exactly the same as Blizzard's user interface. This is the only part of the SixUI AddOn which in some way interacts with the calendar, and I have never personally encountered your problem. Please let me know if r125 resolves the issue. c:

After some investigation I have discovered that Blizzard's menu library can cause taint when used to display eight or more items. I have modified the Calendar's right click menu to use submenus in order to avoid this. Please let me know if r125 resolves the issue. c:

I'm sorry to report it does not fix the issue for me. That being said, It won't keep me from using SixUi
I just disable the SixUi addon, login, sign for the month and log back in

Hello there!

I absolutely love your UI. However, would be perfect if I could move the chat, skada, bigwigs' bars and some bartender bars. Is it a way to configure this right now? I read that you will make it more costumizable in the future. When did you plan on implementing that? Again, love your work

SixUI does work on 1680x1050. However, you may want to change the UI scale to somewhere between 0.64 (default) and 0.77 by typing the following command:

Code:
/console uiScale 0.77
This could also produce more optimal results for 1920x1080. If people using these resolutions could test out different UI scale values and let me know which looks best, that would be great. Things to look out for are:
  • Make sure the target of target unit frame fits on the screen.
  • Make sure BigWigs fits on the screen.
  • Make sure Skada doesn't overlap with buffs. The tooltip should fine because it's temporary.
  • Make sure there is still enough visibility of the game world to avoid mechanics. ;p

Hey, I'm in love with your UI but I would like to move a few things around like the chat box but unfortunately I have no idea what I'm doing with XML and dont wanna mess it all up.

Just looking to move stuff like this: http://imgur.com/WRKhOIU

Any idea when the functionality to move stuff around will be implemented?
