Plater Nameplates  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v8.2.5.278
by: Tercioo [More]

Plater is a handsome and light addon for nameplates!

Plater and Details! are made by the same author!

Features:
- New nameplates for friendly characters.
- Unlock configs to modify the new personal health bar/power bar in the middle of the screen.
- Allows to change the size of the resource indicators such as the runes for Death Knights.
- Indicates when a npc is an objetive of a quest.
- Highlight detector npcs inside Suramar city.
- Color change by aggro and by player role (tank or dps).
- Dynamic sizing allowing to have two sets of size, one for combat and other out of combat.
- Allows full modification of textures.
- Allows to modify the clickable area of the plate.
- Unlock separate config for each type of unit: Friendly Player, Enemy Player, Friendly Npc, Enemy Npc.
- Show your buffs and debuffs, allowing to black list some of them.

Important: by default the health bar of enemy nameplates has a height 2 pixel when out of combat, but do not be fooled by that, each nameplate has by default 45 pixels of clickable area (vertical) and both the health bar and the clickable area can be modified.

Thanks, that did the trick!
Also, I can't find the option to change the neutral enemy npcs health color ? It's a bright yellow and I'd like it a bit darker.

Thanks so much for your effort!
It's blizzard who control the nameplate color, you can enable the override color at the advanced panel or use a texture less brighter

Just a few questions :
1) I can't find a way to disable the Execute marker (the vertical bar shown here: https://puu.sh/Bztmm/cbdf981c10.jpg). I love the nameplate glow during execute, but the marker is redundant for me. The Execute Range checkbox in General doesn't seem to be changing anything.
2) Why can't I hide the health bar on some friendly NPCs like on this screen : https://puu.sh/BzE6c/5dff3da70a.jpg
They are apparently PvP flagged but they definitely cannot be attacked so ... what gives?

Can anyone help or is that maybe a bug that's gonna be fixed ?
For the execute marker, this macro should work for the next version of Plater:
/run Plater.db.profile.health_cutoff_hide_divisor = true;
The healthbar on 2) might be due to the npc be flagged as quest, you may try disable quest color in the friendly npc tab.

Thanks for any help!
depends on the version youre using, probably is under advanced settings > misc, border color, drag the transparency slider down to zero.

Also, is there a way to hide the skill icon in the castbars?

Thanks
Might be in on next version if not bugs is found during tests.

any chance to allow us adding purgeable or enrage effects to special buff tracking?
this is mainly for those who don't use automatic buff tracking so we have even more freedom to decide what we want to see.

enrage / purgeable magic effects are used a lot in bfa, that's why I ask.

A glow option would make it perfect.

basically if canStealOrPurge or debuffType == "" (for enrage) then anchor it to special aura's positon.
a seperate option would be best tbh or a way to exclude enrage.

populating your own purgeable buffs list is kinda risky since you might miss things so an option like this would make it a lot easier
it's a good idea, i'll take a look, thanks.
that was quick, thanks a lot for adding it
yeah love the special auras - a few minor requests if you get the time
1) stacks on special auras similar to regular auras
2) font options for timer and stack text for all the auras
3) formatting time(specially on the special auras where some CC have a long duration and show up as a giant number in seconds)
I'm aware of the lack.of customization in the special auras, it will take some time to implement.

Thank you again.
You can do this through the scripts feature - there is a built in scripts for named mobs just copy paste it for how many colors you want and just change the color in each to what you want and add the names of mobs you want that color for
thank you! i managed to change the nameplates of the mobs i wanted but i think there is further config needed, i thin the color is be override by some other config of the addon becuase sometimes when they go off my sigh the nameplate color change from blue to red, also when i aggro them the nameplate color change again and sometimes they dont even change check image for reference.

https://imgur.com/a/LoC4XxY

it was done with this simple script:

function (self, unitId, unitFrame, envTable)

Plater.SetNameplateColor (unitFrame, "blue")
Plater.RefreshNameplateColor (unitFrame)

end

and i also tried this one but it was the same.

function (self, unitId, unitFrame, envTable)

Plater.SetNameplateColor (unitFrame, "blue")

end

i dont like to bother much with this so if there are anything i can read and learn from it instead of asking someone i would appreciate it.

thanks, regards.
In the "Code Type" dropdown select "On Update" and paste this, it should just work.

function (self, unitId, unitFrame, envTable)
Plater.SetNameplateColor (unitFrame, "blue")
end

In the "On Hide" code type you use this, the function 'RefreshNameplateColor' tells Plater to set back the color that the addon wants.

function (self, unitId, unitFrame, envTable)
Plater.RefreshNameplateColor (unitFrame)
end
