FinderReminder

Version: 1.7
by: tardmrr [More]

FinderReminder: An addon to remind finders to track the things they wish to find.

FinderRemind is an Ace Addon that reminds the user at the usual times when a tracking skill would be turned off (like after you resurrect) to turn a tracking skill back on. It presents a window with all your tracking abilities that you can click on to activate. If you're thinking "that would get real annoying in a battleground," then don't fret! FinderReminder has an option to turn off reminders while in a battleground.

FinderReminder is not just for hunters! In fact, it was written to remind herbalists and miners to not forget, but was expanded to work for hunters and other classes or races that have tracking abilities.

Big thanks to Cair for helping me test this with a hunter since I don't have one.

The 'off in BG' option is on by default, but you can turn it off if you like with /fremind hideinbg

I'm using the EU English version.

Tried your nemesis FindRemind, and that works ok. It comes up with a message reminding me to turn on my find herbs after I ressurect (no 'turn off in bg' option though).

No idea what could cause it. Gonna play with turning a variety of addons on and off....

It's possible that something is suppressing the message, but more likely that it isn't detecting Find Herbs in your spellbook. What client are you using? The French and German translations are untested so that may be your problem.

Strange, have this addon enabled, but it has yet to tell me to turn my find herbs on.

Wonder if somethings suppressing the message.

Nice

Very useful now that we can no longer hook movement functions to do this
