Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Missing unitframes
Hey. I'm having some problems configuring my Clique to work with Grid. I can't see the frames in the listing so could select the right Grid frames. I can see TargetFrame and PitBullframes and so on but not Grid frames. Have I just missed some info about how to do it or what is it?

btw, with grid you can change the behaviour of the far away party members by enabling range check. you can find it in grid configuration menu.
thx for the reply. tested more myself and came to the following conclusion. If i have someone in my group that is between 40 yards and 100 yards i get a correct error message with "out of range" message. But if the player is >100 yards away, then i get the hand. Tested all combination of >100 yards range check and >40 and <100 range check configurations, and i get the same result. >100 yards away players do get me a highlighted hand. I tryed to find out where to post info for grid but didn;t find it. is it wowace? |

Range
Hello,
I have just installed Clique whith the X-perl unit frames. I do have a question, is there a possibility to see who is in range to heal ? I did have the function with healbot, but healbot was to slow to react and so I was often late. Can someone help me fix that little problem, because I have entered a new guild, I don't know everyone and it's hard to be on time when I have to check who I am healing near to me each time Thanks in advance By the way, you did a great addon |

1. entered a party with someone close to me
2. testet both my way (ctrl+click selecting new target and left click to cast healing spell) and your way (shift+left click to cast spell and left click to select new target) 3. in both cases, with both keyboard settings from point 2) the spell landed succesfuly 4. moved out of range 5. b) i get a targeting hand (gray highlight) if i click my own caracter party frame with the targeting hand i get the spell casted succesfuly 6. as spell already casted on my own caracter party frame, hiting esc will do deselect curent target 7. b) i get a targeting hand i) yes, the spell on my own caracter grid frame lands succesfuly As i noticed, in both cases i get the same behaviour. for the default party frames i get this behaviour with or without addons installed. So i understand that this is the default wow behaviour. Both the grid frames and the default party frames have exactly the same behaviour, wich i don;t find it to be with bugs. What i am trying to do is get in step 7. the a) behaviour with the grid frames. I don't mind having the default party frames giving the 5.b) behaviour, but i would really like to get fror grid frames the behaviour 7. a) btw, the test you specified before i considered that is a normal test that is working as you said, didn't understand that you are trying first to find if i get any bug in that default situation. btw, i work as a computer programmer, and testing for me is not a problem. did as you required, test performed |

That's funny because I'm trying to help you fix this problem, but when I give you tests top run and things to do, you refuse to do them and instead come back here and continue talking.
[QUOTE}4. i am not acusing anyone of any bug, i appreciate the work of everyone, but the only way to get to an end with this is discuss about my issue and if the addon creator that can/ and knows how to modify this, will do it if he considers that this is usefull. thank you [/quote] Run the tests. To clarify, here are the tests you need to run: 1. Join a party with someone who is standing near you 2. Set up Shift-LeftClick to some healing spell for ALL Clique frames. Make SURE that you have LeftClick set up to the Target Unit action in Clique. 3. With the person in-range, click-cast on the DEFAULT PARTY FRAMES. Does the spell land successfully? 3. With the person in-range, click-cast on the Grid frame for that player. Does the spell land successfully? 4. Move out of range of the player (so the healing spell will fail) 5. Click cast on the DEFAULT PARTY FRAMES. What happens? a. Is the spell cancelled (no hand) b. Do you get the targeting hand? i. If you get the targeting hand, LeftClick on your unit frame. Does the spell land successfully? 6. Hit Escape to clear any pending spellcasts 7. Click cast on the grid frame for your party member. What happens? a. Is the spell cancelled (no hand) b. Do you get the targeting hand? i. If you get the targeting hand, LeftClick on YOUR unit frame. Does the spell land successfully? Finally, can you click on the grid frames and TARGET them by default?

i am trying to change from healbot to grid+clique
there are 3 things that need a fix and is all the way i like. one thing is this one about the "blue hand" as i've seen that healbot can do this little problem (if we can call it problem) wich is NOT a bug, I asume that little modification to grid and/or clique can be done to make this work the way is normal. What I am trying to do now is: 1. try to make ppl understand me, as sometimes i don;t explain correctly my issues 2. try to find as much information about this 2 addons and if possible to find out what can be done in this direction 3. i am concious that the only way to gain this functionality is to ask the 2 addon creators if they can do this or what they think that can be done for it, in order to solve my issue if i just stay and don;t ask anyone won;t get my issue solved. 4. i am not acusing anyone of any bug, i appreciate the work of everyone, but the only way to get to an end with this is discuss about my issue and if the addon creator that can/ and knows how to modify this, will do it if he considers that this is usefull. thank you |

i found a functionality in the wow interface configuration that is an option that automaticaly cast spells on your own caracter if target you are trying to affect is not in range...
normaly, the interface action bars are automatically enabling/disabling taking in calculation the current target. but when having a target selected that can be affected by a spell and you try to click to cast on other target, the interface cannot detect first that the target is unreachable and deselect the spell. it just stays "blue hand" alowing to cast on other target. |

thx alot
it is not a bug is a normal functionality you are right i am trying to get this normal functionality changed, not to fix a bug. i want to get rid of that blue hand and get an "out of range" error instead. if any help you can give.. i would appreciate it... it is true that i don;t know exactly who can change this, you or the grid maker don;t get angry on me... i know few things but not as much as you know.. that is why i'm asking sorry for that. kind regards |
