Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

i have the same problem
i disabled x-perl just to be sure - it happens with the default ui too:
at the beginning of the first combat i can cast spells via clique normally. once i'm out of combat clique stops working – e.g. right-click on me brings up the menu instead of shielding me (the assigned spell). if i change the clique-profile everything is back to normal until after the next fight. this only started after yesterdays patch. on a sidenote: thanks for this great mod

I'm trying to read through your response, but I'm having trouble understanding it. Could you please post reproducable steps that I can use to identify the issue in clear and concise terms, ideally using the default unit frames? Thanks.

I seem to be having issues also since updating. Clicks will work then randomly it seems they stop working. A reload or changing profiles back and forth seem to fix it. I don't have any errors so cant really help there. Will edit if I find out more.
BTW I am using the latest version of clique and perfectraid. Praid is throwing a error. Code:
[2007/01/11 12:37:00-664-x1]: PerfectRaid\PerfectRaid_Buffs.lua:684: bad argument #1 to 'insert' (table expected, got nil) Clique\Dongle.lua:671: in function `SetProfile' Clique\CliqueOptions.lua:1493: in function `OnAccept' Interface\FrameXML\StaticPopup.lua:2030: in function `StaticPopup_OnClick': <string>:"StaticPopup1Button1:OnClick":2: in function <[string "StaticPopup1Button1:OnClick"]:1>

Sorry about that. I'm still unable to use spells that are in the Helpful/Harmful folders. Only putting spells in the default folder seem to make them work. ( OOC folders works as well ). This comes as a problem when you try and do the same bind for a hostile / harmful action obviously. Any idea is that's Clique bug or just something I'm not doing right?
Thank you. |

Also, this one was not "even" worse... a single reload of your UI would have fixed it. I'm sorry I missed it, but in the grand scheme of things, yours was a very minor issue. Either way, its resolved.

Just tried to update to 2.4 version in hopes that it would fix all the past non-working versions, however this one is even worse. Tried binding flash heal to shift - leftclick ( didn't work ). Tried to create that in the helpful folder and in default still it didn't do anything. So again i'm going back to r18 version.
Now the question is there something I'm not doing since ever since i got the first version which came out with 2.0.0 patch after that non of the updated worked. ( Using Aguf unitframes). |

Re: Re: Re: Macro Targetting
Ok. The mouseover addition worked like a charm. Thanks. Still can't get the Harmful settings to work with Perl Classic's Part Target frames though. With LeftClick bound to Target Unit under Harmful and LeftClick bound to Holy Light (or rather my Holy Light/Redemption macro) under Helpful, if I left click a player target's frame that is targeting an enemy mob, I end up casting holy light on myself.
Maybe this is a disconnect with Perl Classic Frames? Next time I'm on and have a chance, I'll disable Perl and try a different party targetting addon like Party Target or something. I'll also try the mouseover trick. Maybe something like: /cast [target=mouseover, help, nodead] Holy Light; [target=mouseover, help, dead] Redemption /target [target=mouseover, harm] Or something like that. I have no idea if the second line is even a valid macro or not as I haven't looked into it yet. |

Re: Macro Targetting
You need to add [target=mouseover] to the macros. This is because of how the game does its targeting for macros, nothing that Clique can help, i.e. /cast [target=mouseover, nodead] Holy Light; [target=mouseover, dead] Redemption

Macro Targetting
I'm curious as to how Clique does it's targetting. I was attempting to use a macro that would cast Holy Light if the target was alive and Redemption if they were dead. I like to keep the number of key+click combinations I have to remember at a minimum as I have trouble keeping them all straight in my old age... Anyway, the macro I used was something like this:
/cast [nodead] Holy Light; [dead] Redemption I noticed though, that if I had some random player targeted in IF (where I was when I was testing it out), and then clicked my player frame (I bound it to a simple Left Click in Clique using the Macro's name) it would cast on the random player instead of myself. That makes sense as the default target is 'target'. MAybe if I entered the macro directly into Clique instead of referencing a player macro? I also ran into another problem with targetting hostile npc's. Basically, I have clique set up to mimic my old, beloved ClickHeal mod which died when 2.0 came out. So I have things like left click=Holy light, Right-click=Flash of light, etc. All of those are under the Helpful settings. I then set up a click binding under Harmful of LeftClick=Target unit. The idea here is that I have Party Target turned on in Perl Classic Unit Frames which displays the targets of my party members. I would then click on those frames to, say, target the mob that the tank is on. But I noticed that whenever I did that, it would start to cast Holy Light. I have no idea if it was attempting to cast that spell on the hostile MOB or not as I canceled it. I ended up binding ctl+leftclick to target unit and that worked ok. Maybe this is some sort of logic disconnect between Clique and Perl Classic Unit frames? |

Re: False
You can use up to five mouse buttons, the ones that are recognized by WoW. You can use these to click on any unit frame with any number of modifiers. NO MOUSE BUTTONS CAN BE USED TO CLICK-CAST USING CLIQUE IN THE 3-D WORLD. THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO BE CLICKING ON A UNIT FRAME, NOT JUST SOME GUYS'S BODY IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR SCREEN. There's a distinction. I'm not trying to respond to you, but I'm tired of answering the same question over and over again. You cannot click cast with MouseButton19.. because WoW can't see it. You can't click cast on bodies in the 3-D world. Hope that helps.
