Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Yeah, I'm not sure who is supporting XPerl anymore!

Thank you for your quick response! I'll head over there and see what they have to say. I may just try Pitbull or Grid or something.

Re: Right Click Bind not
This is the fault of the raid frames, they are overwriting the bindings that Clique is setting.. and it should not be doing that at all. lease contact that author.
The problem is XPerl is doing its initialisation incorrectly. At some point, it is setting its own attributes for right-click AFTER the frame has been registered for click-casting. This doesn't make sense in any universe. Please contact the unit frame addon author. Let me know what you find out.

Right Click Bind not "Sticking"
I use Xperl 3.1.2 r509 and Clique V40000-1.3.3
I rebind Show Unit Menu to Shift-Right Button, and put a heal on the unmodified right button. This works fine on party frames, or on player, target, target of target, focus, etc. frames, but it seems buggy with raid frames. The binding appears correct in the Clique interface, but doesn't work in a newly joined raid. It will work if i re-bind it. It will not work on raid members who join the raid subsequent to the re-bind. If I restart the game, I have to re-bind. If I join a BG, I have to re-bind. All my other binds work as they should. I've used this mod for a very long time and it's one of my favorites, but this behavior is very annoying. I apologize if this has been specifically covered below, not having this forum threaded makes it difficult to see whats happened in the past. |

The problem is, I don't have that key. The double quotation mark on my system is shift-' so that's how it shows up. I can bind that a thousand times without issues. I can see what that key would add issues, so I've altered the code accordingly. Download the latest BETA, called beta_Clique-v40000-1.3.4-beta-4f962de.zip, and see if that resolves your issues. Of course you will need to remove any prior bindings of " before you do this.

Hello, thnx for the great addon first!
Well i cant bind --> " <-- key to a spell or anything actually. " is my one of my favourite keys. When i try to bind something to " , clique makes wow frozen for a couple of seconds and then that key doesnt work.. Is it general problem or there's a way to use " . Thanks you |

No addon can do that without re-binding every single use of the right mouse button. This mean you can't move the camera, you can't right-click mobs to loot, you can't right-click NPCs to interact with them. If you want that, feel free but I think you won't find an addon to support it.
Make a macro and give it a name. Type this into your chat box: /run SetBindingMacro("BUTTON1", "TheNameYourGaveYourMacro") You'll have your macro but you've now lost all other right-click functionality. I suspect you will find this makes the game unplayable. Therefore we fall back on my original suggestion, which is use a modified right-click (like shift-right-click) to do what you want.. or use some other key bind. The choice is up to yours. Clique just stops you from wrecking your UI by binding right-click itself. This is the right thing to do, because no addon should allow you to do that.. it just makes the game completely unplayable.

Okay I will tell you what I was exactly looking for, so you might tell me that it is allowed or not or if this is the correct AddOn.
I was looking for an AddOn that allowed me to replace or modify the mouse right click button function with the one displayed on my macro, just to improve my right click performance (basically it make my character auto attack when the opponent is close, and auto shot when it isn't with a plus of taunt) |

I'm not sure you WERE confused about the addons purpose. What precisely are you trying to do? What behaviour do you want? I'm almost certain Clique can do it for you, since it can accomplish anything that Blizzard allows.
Yes, you did say you tried all binding sets, but nowhere have you said what you're trying to do. What do you want to click on, how do you want to click on it, and what do you want it to do when you click on it?

Re: Help please
Create the following binding: 1. Bind other/Run custom macro 2. Pick any keyboard combination, perhaps T would be good for you for testing. 3. Paste the macro 4. Set the binding set to 'Hovercast' only Now you can mouse over any enemy in the 3-D world and press T and it will run the macro for that unit.

Help please
First I want to thank you for this AddOn, and now I would like to ask you for some help; I'm having a similar problem that the guy before me just had, I mean I am able to do all key/mouse-binding, but when it comes the time to use them nothing happens (Nothing out of the Blizzard Configuration).
For Example; the only reason I want this AddOn is to bind this macro: (#showtooltip /cast [@mouseover, harm, nodead][harm, nodead] Taunt /cast [@mouseover, harm, nodead][harm, nodead] attack /cast [@mouseover, harm, nodead][harm, nodead] shoot) (that has already been working on a normal button) into my right click. So to do that I just took out the "#showtooltip", copy & paste the rest of the macro at text space of Bind other/Run custom macro interface; and bind my mouse right click, by clicking over the button, after that I saved it, and without matter which or how many "binding-sets" I chose it, or if I was choosing mob or just over it or even both at the same time; it just didn't worked. So I thought my macro might be wrong, and for a estrange reason worked, but just in a normal button; so I tried just linking the F1 button to my taunt... It didn't work, until I tried all the ways like before, and only worked when it was on "Global" and I was choosing the target; and I'm pretty sure it wasn't suppose to be that way; because "Global" was suppose to need no target and the other "binding-sets" were supposed to do something... In resume: -I'd like you to tell me if there is something incompatible in my macro with your AddOn. -And there's something wrong with those "binding-sets", or at least for me. Sorry if it is too much boring text, or if there's something that was wrong spelled or didn't made sense; English isn't my native language. And thanks for the Addon, reading it & the future help.
