Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Profile control
This may have been requested already; I can't find a "search comments" anywhere. I'm a relatively new user of Clique, having used other methods of setting up clickcasting until the 4.0 patch hosed everything. :-)
Could the profile management controls be expanded to allow copying an existing profile? Either cloning a profile to a new one, or copying one over an existing one, or anything along those lines? The bog-standard Ace3 panel allows copying of an existing profile "into" the current profile, but it doesn't do the talent-spec-aware switching that your current controls allow, so there's a tradeoff there. Loving the configuration through the spellbook, btw! |

Hello there. Congratulation on a great addon.
First, I have the latest official clique release, updated by curse client, the 1.2.7. My problem is very very weird. Go get a cup of coffee first, you're gonna need it. Here's the deal : Clique doesn't remember my character settings every single time I log off, at least not completely. let me explain. When I log back, only my left and right click spells are remembered and are able to work on the WHOLE player ui frame. In this state, only the left and right click binded spells work on the player frame AND Health/mana bars part AND character's picture part of the frame. Let's call that the "sub-frames". Rest of my spells I can only cast on the frame area where the Player's name is written. Not anywhere else, it won't cast anything except my right/left click binds outside of that Sub-frame. The subframe on top of the hp/mana bars, where the name of the player is written on. Please note that this only apply to the Player's frame (and maybe group frame, didn't check). I can cast all my binds on any part of the "target" frame or "target of target" frame, the focus frame and so on. they are all counted as single frames, without "sub-frames" like the main player's one. I use X-perl, but I removed it completely and tried with the Blizzard frame, and I had exactly the same symptoms. Can't cast any of my non left/right click binds on hp/mana bars/pictures part of the players frame. To add more to this weirdness, and why I started by saying that clique doesn't remember my settings, is that I noticed that I simply have to go, every single time I log on, in the clique options, and I go to the character profile choice, the lowest third choice menu; the "current profile", and I just have to RESELECT the same character profile that is ALREADY selected by default (and by the way, I have only one character on this account), and as soon as I reselect the same one that is already selected, I click ok and voila, I can click anywhere on any players frame and all my 13 mouse buttons spells are casting. So, TL;DR : 1) Why do I have to reselect the already selected only single character profile I have and re-click it manualy everytime I log in, so that everything work correctly ? 2) What is exactly that weird behavior I'm whitnessing if I don't do that, i.e. my binds being in fact "active", but only on the "name" part of the player frame EXCEPT for the right and left click spells which are working on every part of any subframe ? I told you to get a cup of coffee ... =)

I am using the latest beta build as shown by /dump Clique.version [1] = "4e50106. And there are no other mods running aside from Addon Control Panel. - First test I bound F to cast Rejuvenation with bindset's default and hovercast. This worked successfully. - Second test I tried binding mouse button 4 to also cast Rejuvenation on default and hover cast with no success. - Third test I added shift modifier to the mouse button 4 cast still to no avail. To be noted when hovercasting and using mouse button 4 it started running me forward as per the blizzard keybinding. - Fourth and Fifth test I rebound same cast to mouse button 5 and mouse button 5 with shift respectively. Still not working but no other keybinding set to mousebutton 5. - After this I moved on to testing moonfire. With the first test being bound to R and bindset set to default, hovercast, and enemy, no go. - Second test same binding except without enemy bindset. Still didnt work. - Third test I deleted the previous binding and rebound Moonfire to Alt-Shift-F with default and hovercast. Worked excellently casting Moonfire at some boars. After that I tried setting both Rejuvenation and Moonfire to F with the difference of one set to enemy and one to friend. All that happened was that it cast Rejuvenation on my self while hovering over a boar. After deleting all bindings i rebound F to Rejuvenation with default and hovercasting. It no longer worked same with moonfire set to Alt-Shift-F. Just to be sure I turned off hovercasting and just targeted default blizzard unit frames with success. Again I am sorry for the long post, but I was doing my best to document my tests as thoroughly as possible seeing as there were no error messages. Hope all this helps. |

Yeah it would be useful if you could send it. I healed seven bosses in ICC tonight with right-click set to Wild Growth and didn't have any issues. You're saying that even now you can't bind right-click? That doesn't make any sense!

Don't ask me why but today during the raid my right mouse button stopped to cast Circle Of Healing. I have tryed to rebind it, but nothing... also if I see it correctly assigned to the spell it doesn't cast anything.
I guess that I have to wipe savedvariables If you need my setup for investigation, let me know how I can send it . |

It can't be done. Left and Right button are not available for binding, even in the default user interface. You can use higher mouse button or keybinds.

I'm trying to get Global binding (no target) to work for the priest spell "Power Word: Barrier", and bind it to Alt-Shift-RightButton.
No matter what I do I can't get it to work with mouse buttons (just pointing on the ground in IF). If I use eg , then it works as expected. As far as I can see I'm using the latest beta version. /dump Clique.version = "4e50106" I hope you can help me figure this one out. Ps. Thanks for a great addon. |

What were you doing when this happened? I can't see how this is possible, to be completely honest. Also, your line number does not match mine. Please give me the output of /dump Clique.version

Correct, you are not allowed to interact with your own 3D model.
I - Immolation (default, hovercast) C - Corruption (default, hovercast) I then ran around and tagged 9 mobs with corruption without targeting a single one of them.
/run Clique.db:CopyProfile("Profile to Copy") This will copy everything from "Profile to Copy" into your current profile. You can do the old Set Profile with the same syntax: /run Clique.db:SetProfile("Profile to Set") Hope that helps!

Profile copying
In the older version I could copy profiles using "/clique profile copy" commands.
Is there any equivalent way to do that using the new version? Or do I have to just create new profiles from scratch? This is useful to me because often it is easier to use an existing profile (eg. Discipline PVE) as a starting point for a similar one (eg. Discipline PVP) etc. |

Hi, so I have been having issues with the hovercast binding set. I am not sure if there are limitations I am not aware of, but it only seems to work under very specific circumstances. When I set the binding to Alt-Shift-F (or some combination like that of just keyboard keys) and do a heal spell like rejuvenation it seems to work fine (though not on my 3d model but I feel like thats normal.) However no combination of keys+any mouse button seems to work. Also just having one key such as 1 set doesn't seem to work. When I set it to a hostile spell such as Moonfire it also doesn't work. Hostile spells do work on actual unit frames when bound safely (by safely I mean some long combination key press) Again this part might be me but when I have it set for the Alt-Shift-F and on hovercast with any other indicator such as enemy or friend it doesn't work. Ideally I would like to set it up for my warlock to be able to dot a few things without having to change targets and my druid to cast some hots with just looking at nameplates. I was at first testing this with all my mods active but since have disabled them all except Clique with the same results.
On another note I just want to say thank you and I love your work. I recently purchased your WoW Programing book and am working my way through it having a good time. Thanks for all the time and effort. P.S. Sorry if my post is confusing, its late and I am trying to be as concise as possible, but I am not the best writer under normal conditions so again sorry. |
