Psychokitty:
I'm pretty sure there is a combat log entry when the buff fades. You can create a trigger for them if there is. P3lim: Just uncheck Events->Notification->Combo Point Gains. You may also want to uncheck the Combat Points Full as well if you don't want to see the Finish It! when you have 5 CP.

Possible?
I was wondering if you can add tracking for Sporeling Snack and Kibler's Bits to your mod. Once fed to your pet they last for 30 mins.
I have tried to get your mod to track these items but so far its a no-go. |

No there is not currently a way to throttle incoming damage. I'm not so sure showing damage taken 5 seconds after it happened would be very useful. I personally would like to be able to react to the damage as it's happening, not 5 seconds later after my pet is already dead. Waverian: You are correct that the icon won't accept the captured arguments. I plan to add cast alerts to the next version which I'll release with Patch 2.4. The entire trigger system is going to change with that version as well because there are no longer strings to search on with the new combat log.

Custom Trigger Icons & Variable Arguments
I set up a custom filter for Search Pattern > (.+) begins to cast (.+).
http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...108_125730.jpg I set the output message to %1 and the icon skill to %2 http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...108_131849.jpg But the actual output is only %1 with no icon http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u...108_125840.jpg I've tried %2 in the text output and it works fine, so it's definitely passing the values, but the icon doesn't accept it. I've also tried %s for icon value as used in some of the default notifications. I'm aware I can manually add specific spells and assign the icon, but due to the number of spells I want to show it would be clunky and time consuming. Are there any alternatives for assigning a dynamic icon to a custom event already available in MSBT? |

Hi Mik,
I would like to know how I can merge incoming damage on pet. All I found was the throttling slider to globally hide low damage input, but I wanted to have incoming pet damage merged into a, let's say 5 seconds interval. Is there a way to do this? |

Hi,
I've been having a problem with msbt, I'm getting alot of buff spam, in a weird way. Basically, my buffs show up periodically although nothing has changed/I haven't been rebuffed. Quite annoying in a big fight to see all that text splattering my screen. Anyone have any idea what's wrong or if there's just a setting I've set weirdly, or something? Any help is appreciated. |

Witique:
I've not actually looked at the combat log for this, but I'm fairly certain there is a message regardless of how the sheep is broken so long as you are in range to receive. The pattern you are looking for should be "Polymorph fades from .+" |

Hi I just found out about MSBT yesterday.
I have been trying to make a trigger to show when my Polymorph is broken. Unfortunately so far I have only been able to make it work when I myself break the polymorph. When my pet or another person breaks the polymorph, the trigger doesn't work because it doesn't show up in my combat log? Is this trigger even possible? Thanks. EDIT: Now Ive managed to change it so that when someone besides me breaks it, it notifies me. but when someone trinkets out or cleanses I don't think it notifies me.

Hi there, something really got my attention, I know it's not big deal but I tried to play a bit with it, looked over all the options in /msbt and haven't found any. Let me know if i am correct but I findout that The outgoing and the incoming Stickes are different than the Notification Sticky, is that right? because I see the dmg crits and healing crits which shows as Sticky in the outgoing or even incoming if I am getting heals or healing myself looks like a (Shacking Sticky) Hope you understand what I mean, but it shackes + Big + Sticky.
While the Notification Sticky is just a big sticky word. It doesn't Shack just like the outgoing and incoming which is cool imo. I tried to make the notifcation stickies looks like the outgoing and incoming stickies but didn't find the option. please I might think a little too much but bear with me, am I right or wrong in this thing i've noticed? if so let me know how to do notification spells that I choose to be Sticky, Shows just like the incoming and outgoing "Which means it shackes :P" haha EDIT: Sorry looks like I didn't look around hard enough, I just found how to do Notification Sticky style "Jiggle" Ignore me totally, and if somebody likes to know who is also like me "A bad searcher" Just go to Scroll areas > Configure > Notication. and find Sticky style and make it jiggle from the underneath.. thanks

Yes, from the looks of what Slouken posted, damage shields should now send a name along with the event. If that is indeed the case, the mechanisms MSBT already has for skill suppressions and throttling by name will start working for it.
I will also likely separate damage shields into their own event so they can be individually customized like other events (enable/disable, scroll area, font, size, etc...) Those changes should be more than enough to do what you are wanting. |

=( Darn, thats not what I wanted to hear.
Id like to see it, Id like for it to be merged in a long interval (like every 5 seconds) and Id like for it to be with my dots. Guess that wont happen.... For now. I read Slouken's most recent post about 2.4....
BTW, its InspiredOgre... Like, an ogre, "RAWR, beat you with club! Except, before I do, I want to ask you to join my book club!"

InsipiredOgre:
That is true. A trigger wouldn't help you in this regard either since it wouldn't suppress it. The only solution I have for you to hide outgoing damage shields altogether would be to open the MSBTParser.lua file and find: Code:
-- Outgoing damage from shields CHAT_MSG_SPELL_DAMAGESHIELDS_ON_SELF = {"DAMAGESHIELDSELFOTHER"},

Thank you for the Reply, Miklord.
The problem with just adding those skills in the excluded skills is that they never report themselves as their own skills. All damage shields (at least, the ones that function such that A hits B, and A takes damage) Are listed without reference, in any way, to their originateing skill or buff. The combat log literally says... "You reflect XX <damage type> damage to <Mob that hit you>." i.e. "You reflect 9 Nature damage to Vicious Gray Bear." Thats thorns, but MSBT, and any other addon I am aware of doesent know that, since its never reported as such. Going along the process you outline when you create a custom event to detect AI fadeing on allies (in the video) I get as far as "finding" the event type, or whatever, but not knowing the language, I have no idea how to set up the event string. Ideally, I would like to push those events into my "DoTs etc" scroll area. |
