Tardmrr:
Thanks for your input. I realize that some icons are missing, but it is the API calls themselves that are the problem. MSBT actually already bases its buff/debuff gains and losses on the event you mention. The GetPlayerBuffTexture API call would certainly work when you gain a buff, but what about when you lose one? You don't get the event message until after the buff is already gone. At this point, the API doesn't return the texture any more. So, you have to cache it and rely on a mapping table, which, to my dismay, is the method that has to be used for all the skills too because the API won't give you textures for spells your character doesn't know. A missing icon is a lack of an entry in the mapping table. I'll consider a hybrid system that combines both for a future version. Borbies: Skill suppressions will work for actual enemy buff gains. They are case sensitive based on the name of the skill. So you can filter things like Enrage. However they won't work for power gains and heals because, unlike for you, the game engine doesn't distinguish a buff from a power gain from a heal on enemy targets. For the same reason, thresholds don't work on them either. You also are probably seeing monster emotes, which again are not categorized by the game engine. I've been sorting out some methods of cleaning it up a bit, but there are some limitations with the game that probably won't be resolved until Blizzard implements the new event system they have slated for Patch 2.4. For now, you can turn off the notifications off completely. Events tab->Notifications->Enemy Buff Gains and Monster Emotes.

Is there a way to filter out all the little Enemy Buff's that spam my screen. I want things like Bubble and Death Wish and Evasion to show up, but the Second Wind and Bloodrage spam is horrible. I tried adding them to the Skill Suppression list but it did absolutly nothing.
The threshold's don't work either. It's either we see every single buff/hot/power gain they recieve, or none of them at all.

First of all, props on the icon addition. It's been the one feature that MSBT was missing over those other addons that serve a similar purpose.
I realize this is a limitation due to the fact that the combat event for gaining a buff/debuff happens before the UNIT_AURA event that makes the icon available through the buff API, but I think they should always have an icon. I see two ways to go about doing this: (1) Change your design to use the buff events instead of combat events for buff/debuff detection. (2) If icons are enabled and you don't yet have an icon, at each frame of animation check GetPlayerBuffTexture for the icon (remember, it accepts buff names now). (1) is more work, but (2) is computationally more expensive. Also, some effects originate from an item and, as a result, have the same name as the item. To give an example, consider the Mark of Defiance; when it's effect triggers, the combat message is "You gain 125 mana from Mark of Defiance." (In these cases, the item's icon should be shown. Here you can use a GetItemInfo call with ease for the texture since GII also accepts item names these days. |

Peregran:
To your first question, yes there is a Warrior Stance secondary condition. Check out the readme to see what the parameter values for the stances are. As far as freezes, I'm fairly certain nothing changed in 5.01 that would cause it.. I've done extensive testing with large amount of generated events against the 5.0 code base and it hasn't missed a beat. I won't rule out the possibility of an issue, but if there is, I haven't encountered it. |

Brief Freezes?
I am not sure if its this module or something else but for my Warrior and Priest, I have random brief freezes of like 2 or 3 seconds where game is unresponsive and the picks back up. This didnt happen with v4 but just started today with v5.01. Anyone else see this?

<3 forever
power throttling is superb, screenshot -> http://www.nightelfcollective.com/forums/album_page.php?pic_id=2151 outstanding as always, and ability icons have really made my day and cut down on screen clutter

Taking Stances in account?
Is it possible to add the ability on a trigger to take a stance into account. For example since Im a Prot Warrior, most of the time I don't use Execute when I'm tanking, so I'd like not to get the trigger in Defense Mode but only In Attack and Berserker Mode.
Is that currently doable? If not consider this a feature request. - Peregran |

I'll look into it. That should be doable. Flaicher: Thanks for the clarification. I guess Blizzard added a combat log entry for it since the last time I checked. |

Strange :S
"Events - Notification - Power Gains" needs to be enabled and Spam Control might affect too if Power Threshold = > 15. Oh.. and I don't have "ALL Power Gains" on, it's disabled for me.

First off, I very like your addon.
But there's one thing I would like to see, is there a possibility to add an "alternating" option for the Horizontal Scrolling? Because it really looks a bit weired if you got the DMG area in the middle of your Screen and everything goes left or right. (Maybe its just i like it Symetric ). I hope for an answer. P.S.: Keep it up |

Davedontmind:
Blizzard doesn't log a combat event for combat potency. No combat log entry means no event. The only current option is to enable the "ALL" power gains under the spam tab, but that gets pretty spammy. GreatStalin: Look in the mod's description above. There is a whole section entitled "What's New?" I update that section with every release. Additionally the very first entry in the table of contents for the mod's readme file is "What's New"

What's new in 5.01? I can't find anything of it on this site or in the readme.html!

I persuaded a rogue friend of mine to try out MSBT.
However he says that when his Combat Potency talent procs, he doesn't see anything from MSBT. He says: " it's weird that it doesn't show those, because it shows the 25 energy procs of relentless strikes, which is also a talent." Can you help? |
