The triggers would follow this pattern: Output Message: %a (%s) Skill Damage Source Unit Affiliation - Is Equal To - You Skill Name - Is Equal To - Heroic Strike Then you can set the output scroll area for the trigger to whichever one you like. As I mentioned before though, you won't get any additional effects that you normally would such as partial blocks and absorbs. Daxwax: For the sound, I believe you could use a Swing/Range/Skill Damange trigger with these conditions: Recipient Unit Affiliation - Is Equal To - You Block Amount - Is Equal To - 0 That way it only happens with there is not any partial block amount. As far as the scroll area portion, there isn't really a good way to do it since, as you noted, the underlying event is the same in both cases. Newdles: If your other addons don't experience the issue (particularly Recount as I'm pretty sure X-Perl doesn't rely on the combat log events), I would agree the issue isn't the combat log bug then. Do you have Lua errors enabled via the game's Interface options (I believe it's under the Misc heading)? If the problem is with MSBT and not the combat log bug causing the problem, some type of error should be thrown. If you get an error, please post that and I'll try to help you further. geson: Not currently. |

I wonder if it is possible to change the skill icons. When I use a judgement as a paladin the Seal icon of the seal which im using displays next to the dmg done, not the Judgement of Light icon for example.

It might be some of your addons conflicting, or something in the config. Try deleting the savedvariables for MSBT and/or disabling other addons. |

What's most frustrating is that MSBT is the best-looking combat text addon for my purposes, and shows me exactly what I need to know, when it's working. It's useless if it doesn't work though.

Let me just say, great addon. Been using it for ages.
Got a question for you though. Is it possible to make incoming hits play a sound, while partial blocks does not? I've found the option to disable partial effects, but I'd rather send partial blocks to its own scroll window instead without making a sound. Let me rephrase my problem; The melee hit event covers both hit and partial hits, when it comes to sound effect. Having it as its own event would be awesome. |

Hello all:
As I'm sure you've all noticed, I've been away for the last few weeks, so I'll try to catch up on the comments a bit here. First, let me state that Blizzard still has not fixed the combat log bug where certain procs are not showing up. The hack I put into v5.4.74 catches the most common ones, but I am aware of two issues: 1) It doesn't currently catch every single proc on frequent procs such as Missile Barrage 2) There is an issue that happens sometimes regarding a bad argument to bit_band I'll work on fixing those two issues over the next few days as time permits. Also, a known Blizzard issue that has been reported several times and I can't do anything whatsoever about is that their combat log sometimes just stops reporting. When that happens EVERY mod that relies on the combat stops working. This includes damage parsers, log-based notifiers, scrolling texts, etc There are a ton of comments here and most related to the points above, so if I don't answer you directly below, chances are it's covered above. Oriom: Replace the colon after Profiles with a dot and it should work. Galvin: You don't really need to specify the skill id, as the skill name is enough to catch it. As long as the proc shows up in the combat log this way works correctly. The AuraHack is only there to work around bugs introduced by Blizzard in Patch 3.3 where certain procs aren't being reported to the combat log. Patag: You'd need to look for an Aura Application on your current target via a trigger. The spell reflects event only applies to showing you when something has been reflected. RLD: Thanks for the update. There is currently a trigger for generic eclipse, but since it's changed I'll need to update things. Forcir: Edit the Low Health trigger and change the threshold. timinator1: The only way that's possible is through the use of triggers, but there are limitations to that approach such as lack of merging and damage type coloring. duhwhat: The API call available to ouside addons allows the font and font sizes to be specified, but it's up to those addons to take advantage of that capability. If they are not specifying a font size at all (probably the case) and they allow you to specify the output scroll area, you could force it by creating a new scroll area and setting its font size to whatever value you want (which would then be inherited by all messages going to it that aren't overriden themselves). |

Hi mikord, I was wondering if it's possible to adjust font sizes for outside apps that reroute through the notification scroll area such as Chatter and Omen. They do not have settings for it.
