Power Auras  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v2.34
by: Sinsthar [More]

If you like or not this mod, please just say it to help me make it better

This Mod was created to have a better visibility when you gain buffs, debuffs and many more. Very util for shorts buffs or debuffs, it allows you to have in the center of the screen, or around your character, very customizable visual effects, rather than all the time have to look on the other side of the screen to see if you have a buff or a debuff on you.

Initially created to have an better visibility on the short buffs like "clear cast" or some boost trinket you activate, it works now with debuffs (whatever their name), debuff types like Magic or Curse, combo points, Aoe debuffs and weapon enchants.

How to use :

1- Type /powa, to open the effect browser
2- Clic on the button "New" to create a new effect
3- On the effect editor, you can choose the texture to apply to the effect, the position, the size, the symmetry, be creative :P
4- Below, select the activator of the effect (like a buff, debuff, etc...)
5- Enter the name of the buff, debuff... juste below (or a part of the buff, like "clear" for activation with the buff "clear cast"). Don't forget to read the tooltips for more help on ways to enter the names
6- It's ready ! Close all windows, when you gain the buff/debuff, the effect appear

You can so easily add new textures by adding them in the "Custom" Directory

- = Updates: =-

Version 2.34 :
--------------
+ Added an effect activation when a specific action is ready or not in your action bars.
- Finally, corrected the bug that cause some weapon enchant effect don't appear normally.

Version 2.32a :
--------------
- Fixed a bug with new timers

Version 2.32 :
--------------
+ Compatibility with version 2.0.3 of Wow
+ Power Auras come now with 50 textures (you don't need anymore to download the 2 texture packs)
+ Added 3 timers
+ Added a timer duration for buffs/debuffs on the target
+ You can now add easily your own textures (in the "Custom" Directory)
+ Added tests on friendly or ennemy target
+ Added a easy way to move the effects or timer anywhere on the screen
+ You can now display the textures with the normal transparency mode
- The Aoe debuffs should no longer persist after death or zone change
- Corrections of some minor bugs

Ok, for those who this mod isnt working. Try UNCHECKING the "Ignore uppercase". And writing the exact name of the buff/debuff/etc..

worked fine for me since i started to do this.

Any chance that this could support AND/OR logic between multiple buffs? Perhaps also Mana/energy/rage amounts?

One example would be Battle Shout/Commanding shout.

Hi
first of all
it's a grat addon. I love it.

But i don't understand the timer.
They are working fine and show me the time a buff has left.
But understanding this, no

There are 5 Timers i can activate. (one of them, the second, is greyed out)
and more than 4 timers wouldn't work.

Can someone give a instruction for better understanding, pls?

Some questions.

This add on looks really amazing and I'm about to try it out. Does anyone know if it stil works with current patch and also do other players see these effects or does it just show up in you personal UI?

So far, it's workin fine with the 2.1.3 patch. And it only affects your UI. No one else will be able to see them.

And the reason there's 5 timers, is that you can have them on your screen running at the same time. For instance, setting a buff to "timer 1" and putting it on the right side of the screen will show the timer/buff on the right, and setting another to "timer 2" and putting it on the left side, will show the timer/buff on the left. Meaning, if you're hit by two buffs and don't want your timers to overlap, set them to different timer slots. Hope that helps.

I'm working on a few more custom textures, but I'm curious to see what other folks have made. Should anyone have a collection they'd like to share, of know of where one is being hosted, please contact me or post here.

Bug (Sort of)

Theres an issue when two players cast the same debuff. it starts tracking whenever the first debuff lands, not when you cast your debuff (Such as two feral druids using Rip).

Also, as mentioned before, the timer does not refresh if the current debuff is already applied.

For the first, maybe add a check box to say filter own debuffs only?

The second, I suppose you'd have to link the timer to the current WoW interface timer (If other people are applying the same debuff (Druid Mangle))

Sorry to be so specific, but this is the first add on of this kind, and I'd like to have all the feral druids using this to help us slay Kael and Beyond! (All three of us )

Great, great mod. I just can't *quite* get it to work for me.

I'm a priest that wants to track a few things. Unfortunately, they all have similar names. Inner Focus, Focused Power, Focus, Focused Casting. It's driving me nuts that whenever "Focus" procs, ALL the auras with the word focus in their names appear. Is there a way to isolate spell names? I figured putting the name in quotes would be good enough, but that doesn't appear to work...

Awesome mod. Question/Request

Any way to make it show if the target has *my* debuff on them?

For example. I want to show an icon if my target does NOT have MY immolate, to remind me to refresh it.

Is that possible?

Hey Sin!

Nice mod, really love it

Only thing I'm still a bit confused about: I'm using this amongst others to indicate the proc of my meta gem (Mystical Skyfire), as so many do ^^ Now, I'm a holy priest, which means I have Martyrdom, and that again means I get that buff called "focused casting" every 15 seconds. Now as an eye-catcher of course, the "Focus" I've put in the animation trigger for the mod is a bit lost there. Any ideas?

Thx and keep up the good work

Rade

Rogue Stun watches?

Ok, maybe this isn't what this mod is for.. I'm trying to use it to show the stun time left on my Sap, Cheap Shot, Gouge, and Kidney Punch for my rogue.
I managed to get Cheap Shot working, but now it's not.. the rest I can't get to trigger.
I've set the target watch to "Target", unchecked pretty much everything else, as Sap is used out of combat.. nothing..
I also set one up to track Slice and Dice.. nothing..
Are there any rogues that have used this successfully?
