TradeTabs  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

TradeTabs is a small addon to add spellbook-like tabs to the TradeSkillFrame. It will add one for each of your professions and one for each of the profession "suppliment" abilities (cookfire, disenchant, milling, etc)

It should work in any locale but has only been tested in enUS.


Known Issues:
When the player learns a new profession, TradeTabs does not add a tab for it right away. This is because TradeTabs only populates the list of professions when it loads. The next time you load your interface (/console reloadui) or log into the game, the tab will appear.

There is a possible problem if your TradeSkillUI loads before the player's spell are available to the interface. The spells would be available sooner than normal after a ui reload which would fix the problem. So, my best guess is that you have an addon causing the TradeSkillUI to load before PLAYER_LOGIN. While technically still an addon conflict, it's still a 'bad' assumption on my part so I'll get a fix in ASAP.

Edit: You should also track down which addon is causing the trade skill ui to load so soon(if that is, in fact, the conflict). It's not a problem per se, but it's increasing your load time at start up so if the addon can avoid forcing the early load of the trade skill ui, it should.

I'm not at home, but I can think of two addons that I have that may present a potential conflict: EnhancedTradeSkills and Hemlock. The former simply lists the amount of items you can create in a tradeskill window based on a user inventory and bank. Hemlock is a poison addon that links to the buy/sell window when purchasing from a Poison Vendor or Shady Dealer. I believe it uses the tradeskill window to gather the poison information as well as create poisons. I am not sure if either has been updated for 2.3. I will take at those two when I get home and patch up my WoW install. Thanks for the quick response.

It was EnhancedTradeSkills causing the conflict. I don't want to lose the extended functionality of the addon so i can live with a reload for now. If you can find a way to work around it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry for the delay in posting the update... I got a little busy with school. This should fix the conflict with addons that cause TradeTabs to load earlier than I had figured. Additionally, it fixes the problems that occur if you open your TradeSkillFrame for the first time while in combat.

Is there any possibility to add support for Advance TradeSkill Windows so those tabs of yours appear on the side of ATSW too?

And / or perhaps even better, add these tabs to the side of the Skills window, so when we press 'K' our skill level window opens up and your tabs are on the side. =)

Mostly old gripes with them. However, there have been a few incidents with them lately, and their poor handling of these situations has caused me to lose any remaining respect I had for the site. I refuse to even visit it now.

no enchanting?

will there ever be enchanting? or was it you just did not get to it yet. i love the concept and functionality of this mod and the size... but without enchanting it misses half of what i do...

I hope you can keep this mod small and basic like it is... there is a real need for some simple things... too many huge compliations out there eating memory holes in out lives. thanks for all your work on this
