TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:

/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all

Re: WowMatrix
* WowMatrix has violated author copyright by hosting addons without permission and changing the code of the addons it does install. * WowMatrix has hosted out of date versions of numerous addons causing the authors to spend signifigant amounts of time providing support for users who refused to acknowledge that they were using an out-of-date version of addons. * When authors request that their addons be removed from WowMatrix, they have not complied. * They have been and continue to try to utilize the bandwidth and hosting technology of Curse and WowInterface in clear violation of the terms of service of those websites. As an addon author, I have the right to control where and when my addons are distributed. This allows me to provide a level of support for my users that I feel is necessary. There are a number of easy ways to find out when an addon has been updated on WowInterface.com. Rather than trying to update the addons every time you open WoW.. you can download the latest version when it becomes available.

WowMatrix
First, Thank you for a fantastic addon. I use it constantly to help me keep track of where I'm going next. Second, I was wondering if you could host this addon on the WowMatrix site or give them permission via GPL to keep a copy on their servers. I use WowMatrix to keep my addons up to date and they are unable to pull the latest version from the WowInterface site. Thank you again for everything you do for the WoW community.

TomTom Settings Issue
I use TomTom, have the latest version (r199) and use it with QuestHelper. I've noticed that some of the settings do not work or have gone missing, such as the option to narrow the text below the arrow, prior versions I used to be able to narrow the text down to fit a certain area...
I've played with all the sliders and nothing seems to change anything! Even the colour options on the arrow, I've tried changing the colours and no settings apply. Not sure what the issue is. Hope I've provided enough detail? I think it might be some issue between QuestHelper and TomTom, it'd be great if it could be resolved if possible! |

I gave TomTom a try when Cartographer's waypoint arrow briefly bugged out right after 3.1 dropped, and I've been using it ever since. I really like the overall presentation of it, and the fact that (unlike Cart's arrow) it doesn't freeze when the map is open, but there still are a few items that bother me a little:
-Cart's waypoint arrow progressively shades from red to yellow to green based on how close you are to the destination. I found this coloration more useful than Tomtom's "you're going the wrong way" method, since I can already tell at a glance that I'm going the wrong way if the arrow is pointing backwards. Having the option to use this style of coloration instead would be very nice. -Tomtom's downward-pointing arrow for when you've reached a waypoint location is squat and distorted, making it look needlessly ugly. This is a minor thing, but Cart shows the arrow properly proportioned, so I hope you can make Tomtom do the same -Nitpicking now, but I kinda miss the silly death messages Cart's arrow displays during corpse runs. They generally cheered me up after getting killed. Is there any way this (or something similar) could be added optionally to Tomtom? Thanks for all your time and effort supporting this excellent addon

Re: tomtom
2. Unzip this zip file, this should create a directory called TomTom 3. Ensure that the file TomTom.toc is inside somewhere 4. Copy the TomTom directory to your Interface\AddOns folder You're not providing any other information, so I don't know how else to help.. Is the addon showing up in your addons screen?
