TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Thanks very much for the speedy response, can fully understand how hectic it must be so I for one am greatful that you took the time to sort this. I've now got r68 and did a quick check with a couple of my characters. The coord frame is displaying properly again and it's scaling correctly. However, I checked my BugGrabber.lua file for errors from another addon and I found this:

Directional Arrow.
Let me start by saying that i think TomTom and TomTom in partnership with Lightheaded is one of the more amazing mods i have ever used in this game. HUGE thnx to the creator/s
I only started using TomTom about 4 days before the 2.3 patch so i dont have alot of experience with it. but i have possibly 2 problems since the patch. 1. I use TomTom with lLightheaded and since 2.3 when i click a loc in Lightheaded i see a momentary fuzzy spot where the arrow should be and then nothing. no arrow at all. the fuzzy spot looks like a graphic that has been scrambled up. I have DL'd the latest TomTom and Lightheaded, and the map mod witch i use as well, Cartographer. 2. Im not sure if this is a problem or my faulty memory since im a new user of TomTom. When i click a loc for a quest that is not in the zone i am currently in, it shows the way point incorrectly as being in the same zone i am currently in. I was pretty sure i was clicking quests before the patch while out of the quest zone, and the way point showed me the correct zone on the world map. Am i not remembering this correctly? I was also wondering if there are other known mods i may be using that might be possibly causeing my problems. Is cartographer the best map mod to use with Tomtom? im actully very interested in the answer to this question. All help is greatly appreciated as i pretty much feel like i HAVE to use this mod. i think its THAT cool. Ive told all my wow friends about it. lol. |

This sounds like you may be having a conflict with Cartographer. I've never used it so I cant really say much about it. I use both Tomtom and LH and now that the r68 ver of Tomtom is out they both run like a charm. I would start by running Tomtom and LH alone without other addons and see how they act. Make sure you don't have the r65 ver of Tomtom running. I know what your talking about, when using Lighthead cords, you'll sometimes find a loc. that will allow Tomtom to place a mark in another zone, like quest giver or ending quests NPCs. But for he most part you will have to be in the zone for it to mark correctly for quests, mob locations for example. I was also wondering if there are other known mods i may be using that might be possibly causeing my problems. Is cartographer the best map mod to use with Tomtom? im actully very interested in the answer to this question. When you start stacking addons you may start running into conflicts. I happen to love addons and us quit a bit of them. If you suspect there may be a conflict just run the program in question by its self to see if it works correctly, if it don't it may be a patch problem and the developer will have to tweak it. If it runs ok find a Inn and start re-logging, testing the functions of each newly addon. When things start failing you'll know where the problem is. |

Cartographer...
Ok ty all for the speedy help.
Im sorry, i didnt realize the arrow was not part of tomtom. being a direction giving aid i assumed it was part of the direction giving program. lol. my mistake. I use Cartographer for a couple reasons but mainly because it allows me to resize the map and to make the outer edges ( the part that is just fluff and decoration ) transparent. This is nice when you open the map while moving. It looks like cartographer WAS the problem. It appears that if you size Cartographer too small, it messes with the directional arrow somehow. when i made the map a little larger everything worked fine. while i know this problem was not a TomTom problem, I think that many people might make the same mistake i did, so i posted here in an attempt to help them debug. If you feel this is not the place for this post, please delete or move as u see fit. TYVM again to all who responded quickly and Clad i hope u always support this mod and continue to work on it. This mod did more to re-spark my enthusiasm for the game than anything i can recently remember. ![]() |
