What is it? - Simple enemy unit frames for Arena matches used for identifying and coordinating targets
Features:
- Unit tracking via mouse over, target, party targets, death messages, name plate updates, and optional syncing between all teammates
- Main Assist setting and syncing, shown by yellow outline on current Main Assist target.
- Optional New Enemy, Low Health, Death, and Aura announcements via Chat, Party, RaidWarning, SCT, or MSBT.
- Optional Focus setting via right click.
- Optional Mana bars.
- Optional Party Targets.
- Optional Race Icons.
- Optional Aura tracking.
- Optional Cast bars.
- Optional Talent Guessing.
- Optional Battle Ground Support.
- Minor frame customizations: size, font, texture, header, etc...
For Spells, give the spell name just like you would in a macro. Example: Dispel, Dispel(Rank 1)
For Macros, use ; to break lines and *t to insert the targets name. Example: /target *t;/cast Dispel
Where did it come from? - After using ArenaMaster for a long time, I decided to make my own Arena based mod based on some ideas from myself and friends.
How do I use it? - Unzip Proximo into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Type /prox test to see a test frame when not in arena. Alt+left click header to move. Right click header for options.
What happens if an enemy is first seen after combat starts? - They will still be shown and synced, however you will not be able to target them by clicking on their bar. This will be designated with **'s around their name (ex. ** Grayhoof ** ).

The wowace wiki is just an auto generated version of the readme file, not created or maintained by me. Anything on Wowace is considered beta, anything here is considered release. I don't like to mix the two. This is the link for Wowace comments/bugs:

Re: wierd mem use
Its most likely because another mod is using the Ace libraries, and all that usage is being assigned to Proximo by your memory mod. See here: http://wowace.com/wiki/Ace2_Memory_Concerns
Proximo doesn't do anything unless you are in an arena. If you don't want it loaded, just disable until you are doing arena.

Re: Re: Re: Proximo possible problem
Leylan, thanks for all the information. Based on what you said, I am wondering if sound could be the issue since the Proximo macro for targeting does play a sound. In a skirmish, or just anywhere, try making a macro with just this in it:
/script PlaySound("igMainMenuOptionCheckBoxOn") Spam that macro and see if that causes a disconnect/crash/etc...You might also check the taint.log file in wow\logs or the wow\error folder to see if they help shed any light on what might be causing the issue. |

Targetting problem
Before i drop this problem on ya, would just like to say your mod is awesome. Everyone in our group uses it and appreciates all the time you have put in to it.
As of late, my team and i have been having troubles using the proximo window to target our enemies in arenas. In some cases, the target will be slightly dimmed (as if they are out of range, but they are standing right in front of us) and are unclickable. Other times clicking a target will result in targetting a random enemy pet instead. In this situation, it happens to random teammates in different arenas. Cant seem to find any rythm or ryhme on this. Originally i thought it was cuz hunters were giving their pets the same name as another player, but this was ruled out when I noticed i kept targetting a warlocks pet here monday night. Got any suggestions? |

Re: Targetting problem
Neither of those issues are bugs. The dimmed out names are because you didn't see the person until you entered combat, so Proximo cannot update its macros to target them until you are out of combat (limitation imposed by Blizzard for all mods). The second issue is people naming their pets or paying to change their name to the same as their pets. WoW does not allow a way for you to target only players using a name, so by having conflicting names, it just targets which ever one is closer to you.

I was wondering if there is a way to differentiate an "empty" frame from a full frame. If you use the frame macro on the any specific target in the test frame then it reads something like "ProximoTarget1"
Then if you Parent a panel (KGpanel or eePanels) to that frame the panel will show even if that target frame is blank (ie you just entered arena but haven't seen any enemies yet). So I was just wondering if there was another frame that the actual target is in or if there would be a script that would allow me to differentiate between the empty or filled target frame. |
