SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

Glad to hear that! Now I can focus on these last couple of things... then start looking at 3.1

I take it then that BF + SBF are BFF again?

Got this trying to remove a frame I had created to test totem settings with:

Thanks - I'll get on that after raid. Are you a shaman also?

Looks like that had something to do with setting my frames to sort by Time Decreasing and setting 'auras have max time'. I've also got weapon buffs shown first, not sure if that is a factor in there as well or not. After reloading when that occurred I had no buffs displayed and a slew of errors until I turned buff sorting off. |

I really hate Lua's table sorting. What sort order are you using?

Got these on trash up to Kil'jaeden. Not entirely sure what caused them as I had the standard set of raid buffs going off. :\

Well, here goes a night in Sunwell. I'll be tanking though, so if you guys are raiding tonight I am very interested in hearing how it goes with the new BF.
edit: Hm, seems not too bad. I am getting a little hiccup at the end of combats, but I think I know what that is.

Rupture applies a DoT onto your target and doesn't put a buff or debuff on you, I thought. The Spells tab tracks effects that have been on you. What you want to do is set up a frame and use the Units tab to put your target's debuffs in it, and check off the "My debuffs" button so you don't get every other debuff that's been put on the mob by your party/raid.
Not to sound like a broken parrot, but this will become a lot easier and more intuitive in version 3.1 =)

OK Rupture is a debuff.
Why am I not seeing it captured in the spell list? Given it's not captured what type of filter could I use to route only slice and dice and rupture to a frame? I thought I tried routing all spell with rupture to the frame but nothing appeared. |

Beta 14
- Fix filters for harmful effects by type - Fix some totem problems - Add option to track totem timers when out of range - Add option to not track totems that do not give buffs - Fix buff sorting error for totems Some totemic love! I cleaned up the bit where if you walk out of range of a totem's effect, SBF automatically recreated the buff from the totem information functions. So, if you have Frost Resistance totem down and walk away, the buff will disappear as you'd expect it to. Then I made an option on the Global tab to make it so that the buff stays if you walk out of range, if you are just wanting to display the timers. I also added an option to not display totems that don't normally give a buff (Healing Stream, Mana Spring, etc.)
Now one thing you'll notice with SBF's totem timers is that if you put down Mana Spring, it will always show the timer buff for you even if you are more than 40 yards from the totem. That's because as above, Mana Spring does not produce a buff on you so there no reasonable way to detect if you are out of range of the effect (i.e. more than 40 yards from the totem) or not. That's one reason for the "Do not show non-buff totems" option. If I can figure a way to determine how far you are from the totem, I'll use that. Until then, you'll just have to configure to what makes the most sense for you. The sorting error was related to totems/item enchants as well, and should be fixed now. Harmful filters (ha, hp, hm, hd, etc.) should all work correctly now. Busy afternoon! |
