Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.10f
by: Bachlott [More]

This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

out of curiosity does anyone know of any minimaps that are compatible with this great addon? Just wondering if that means using the default blizzard map I will. (have for a long time)

Unchecking the box in MBF simply runs the commmand to immediately show the button. Doesn't matter what addon was hiding it.

Sadly I've gotten to where I don't even really see the posts since I've seen it so many times.

Just check any addon that messes with buffs or the minimap. They are usually the culprit.
Ah, my apologizes. I wasn't aware of the addon history and didn't see a FAQ so I didn't know to check for other addons. Every other aspect of your addon works fine for me so I figured that one little thing was an error. The only mod I can find that I have installed that might be playing with it is Squeenix, but it has "show tracking" enabled, so I'll keep looking I guess.

Personally I'm a horrible artist. But I have included some instructions on how to make your own skins to work with MBF. You'll find the instructions in the directory with the rest of the addon.

Sorry it looks like I forgot to update the version number before I uploaded it. So if you've downloaded it from curse or here then it is version 3.0.10 even though it says 3.0.9

But..... 3.1.0 should be available shortly. It's been uploaded in both places now.

@Thanatos : I'm not sure what addon it's from. Try putting your cursor over the box and then typing in /MBF info. That should give some enough info about the box for me to troubleshoot it further.

@ All the people with the error

MinimapButtonFrame-3.0.9\MinimapButtonFrame.lua:1332: bad argument #1 to 'unpack' (table expected, got nil)

All of these should be fixed in version 3.1.0

3.1.0 will also add:
An option to grow buttons up rather than the default down
MBF will use the default profile by default instead of the character specific one.

I just installed this mod and I seem to have a black partly transluscent square which stays visible and connected to the button frame, even when I lock it in place.

if I hide it entirely, it will vanish along with the rest of it.

I am running a ui with move anything and dragemall, but I disabled both of them and the box still remains.

Any suggestions? I went through a number of the old comments but without a search, there's simply too many comments to try and sort through.

I'm using Chinchilla and the Calendar is not disabled in it but it's missing every time i log in. I don't think i have any other map addons.

Edit: When I disable MBF it still doesn't show up so I guess it's doing more to help the situation than anything hehe.

Edit #2: Ok it's SLDT's clock that's hiding the calendar but I think it's supposed to pulse when there's an invitation. Okee Dokee

Edit #3: Ya ok there's an option in sldt for it. Yay.
