Cartographer QuestInfo

Cartographer_QuestInfo is a quest library module for Cartographer.

Cartographer_QuestInfo has built-in database for quests, no need to record quest first, you get the info instantly.

Provide info for nearly every quest. Quest info are data mined from wowhead/allakhazam/wowbox website, so it is almost complete and up-to-date.
Provide quest start and end npc or item info, you get the name and location.
Provide quest objective info, you get the mob level and location.
Provide quest series info.
Make quest log double wide.
Add quest level to quest log and NPC dialog.
Works on enUS, frFR, deDE, esES, koKR, ruRU, zhCN, zhTW client.

If you want the stable version, do not use WIU. Download the version yourself.

BTW, I think WIU is good!!!

Maybe you use the Curse updater which is bad!

The first Cart I got from here. The second updated one I got from WoWAce (curse as they have links setup). I rarely d/l addons from other sites if I can avoid it. I also do not/will not use auto updaters. As Villordsutch says, to many past issues with items of this nature.

But as it stands, using either of the Carts from either locations listed above does not give me a working install of CartQI. The download from WoWAce however is the only one that has given me a working version of Cart in general that does not include POI errors and lack of ability to change any settings.

And just to try to pre-empt some questions, all the addons I have now were installed fresh. WTF & Addons folder were wiped clean before updating to 3.0 compatible addons. And when updating individual addons I will normally wipe out all of its saved variable files/entries before the install depending on the type of addon it is.

For instance, drops that start a quest will show up like 50 times on a map. It gets kinda tedious having to click each individual one to remove their note, and what if we want the note on another toon, we lose them.

Has CQI worked for you when using Mapster? If so, how did you get the two addons to work together?

I have tried running Mapster and CQI together, but CQI does not show up at all. If I view CQI at the addons tab in the character selection screen, CQI says that the dependency (Cartographer) is missing. As far as I know, CQI does not work with Mapster.

Here are the steps I took, yet unfortunately they would not work. 1) Downloaded and installed Cartographer2, MapNotes and CQI. 2) Loaded the game and made sure those 3 addons were enabled. 3) Ran /script MapNotes_ImportCarto() Now, after I do those 3 steps, I get a message in my chat box saying "<MapNotes>: 0 Notes Imported" If I go through the CQI menu and show available and active quests, my map becomes full of ! yet if I run the script again, no notes are copied. For some reason, it seems that MapNotes will not "copy" all of CQI's data. I will post this on MapNotes' page too. It would still be much easier for CQI to be a standalone addon, I think. That way, it could work with Mapster, Cartographer or maybe even AlphaMap.

Right now, it doesn't. Please take a look at HandyNotes' comments page to see discussion on the issue of CQI+HandyNotes for more insight.

This probably has been answered hundreds of times, so sorry I've downloaded QI latest version, and also cartographer via the link on QuestInfo, but they seem to not work together... can't see the QI button when i bring the map up... Help apreciated, z EDIT: nvm just managed to fix it (so far) For the people that runs into the same problem: 1. delete variables in account folder 2. dowload Cartographer from http://www.wowace.com 3. download QI from here 4. remember to not fade the borders of the map EDIT2: I still can't press the objectives on the quest log...
