Multishot is a tiny addon that automatically takes screenshots of memorable events in your World of Warcraft career. It's a photo diary of everything you come across in Azeroth, Outland and Northend.

Features & screenshot possibilities
  • level-ups and guild level-ups
  • achievements and guild achievements
  • challenge mode medals
  • battleground and arena victories
  • reputation changes
  • trade window transactions
  • garisson building completion
  • any rare/rare-elite mob kills
  • timeline; take a screenshot every x minutes (configurable)
  • keybind; take a custom screenshot on demand
And most of all: boss killshots in dungeons and raids. Inbuilt database contains most if not all bosses ingame. Pew pew!

How to use
Just play as usual and Multishot will be waiting. By the way: you can take screenshots any time you like by pressing the PRINT key. Captures will most likely be located in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Screenshots.

Configuration
via Interface > Addons > Multishot or type /multishot into the chat window.

Updates
You will have to update Multishot every once in a while. Blizzard constantly adds, removes or updates mobs. Multishot would not be aware of these changes otherwise.

Troubleshooting
Multishot might not work as expected after new content patch has been released: every now and then "false positives" will sneak into the database. Those can easily be spotted in debug mode. Please drop me a line so that I can blacklist them as soon as possible.

Localization
Multishot works on all locales and supports localization. Please submit a translated copy of the "/Locales/Locale-enUS.lua" file if your language is not included yet. Thanks!

This is quite possibly one of my FAVORITE add-ons for the game.

I -LOVE- the screenshot ability when I ding.

Please tell me you guys are going to continue to develop this for 4.0.1 / Cataclysm.

That would only fire for LFD groups, I guess even guild or parties formed in /trade would use the LFD tool for easy transportation to the instance nowadays but in any case it's not guaranteed to fire.

It also doesn't solve the problem for similar bosses in a raid setting (example Valithria in icc or any of the keepers in ulduar etc)

Only viable option is to maintain a list of boss yells similar to how guids are kept and detect the 'kill' same way the bossmods do it for those exceptions only.

Might try to whip something up along those lines in the coming days.
(main problem is these are localized... which is a pita)

Heh. Make an exception for that instance only by having the mod look for LFG_COMPLETION_REWARD firing in it?

Not ideal as it won't fire when doing, say, an all-guild run. But who does those for CoS these days anyway?

But seriously, I don't know how this exception could be handled. Make a suggestion on how to fix that and I will add it to Multishot.

Another boss mob r44f does not take screenshots for here: Mal'Ganis in CoS. Using with LibBossIDs-1.0 r44 (embedded).

Its an atypical kill event; the boss doesn't actually die to complete the kill: "When Mal'Ganis reaches 1% health, he escapes, thereby breaking combat and disappearing after he's done with his brief speech."

nyxtyr: Multishot is not based on names but on mob ids. Please turn on debug mode and paste the result here so we can track down a possible bug. This should not happen.

Snaxe: I don't know. Probably taking a screenshot this often will cause too much lag.

Just found this addon a few weeks ago and i love it. However during ToC-10 first run using the addon it happened to not take a screenshot for the Anub'arak kill but it got the screenshot for all the other kills. :[ Not sure if it's because i ran the nerub instance with this character few days before? and they have the same names? :[

killing blow (player)

Is there any way I can make this take a screenshot each time I get a killing blow on a player? I've been unable to find anything that can do that, and I already use mutlishot for other screenshot needs. Thanks.

Just add the following line to function Multishot:OnEnable() in the file Multishot.lua:
