The addon will notify you in the middle of your screen with an icon, name of the spell that has procced, the time left on the proc and will make a subtle sound. EventAlert is also able to handle more than one proc at a time (this option was not available in previous versions).
I am not fond of addons that have very complicated installation and setups. The mod should work on install without any config, but if you wish to change any options use the following command: /ea options
To see a more detailed list of what options are avaiable to the mod, just check out the screenshot of the options pane.
This mod tracks the following events/procs:

Thanks for more detail. I'm still working on duplicating this, but this moves me a bit closer. Thank you.

But, to get you started, check out line 130 of EventAlert.lua. That line is basically saying "if the spell that just popped up into the combat log is a spell effecting this player and not someone else, then do everything after this...". And to see what all the "arg" variables are, check this out: http://www.wowwiki.com/COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED Hopefully that will at least get you close to the info you need to get started making things work the way you want them. ![]() |

In the mean time: Type: /ea opt Click the icon options button. Unlock the icon, so you can move it. (It's a checkbox at the top of the icon options window.) Move the icon where you want it to be. Re-lock the icon so you don't end up moving it around on accident. |

Would EventAlert be able to track some important buffs of enemy as well as my own buff? For example, when fighting with a warrior, an alert would jump out when he uses magic reflection. Is it possilble for EA?

I will toy with it some and test memory levels and such, but I wouldn't count on something like that getting added. |

Missing spells
This is aimed at DK's, I have been out of town for a week and I had a list of the missing spells/procs but I don't have that list anymore. However there are 2 that do come to mind that need to be added to your list. They are Runeforged procs 1. Fallen Crusder 2. Razorice. Reasons these 2 need to be added is your current one you have already listed is used for lvling a DK until that DK can learn the 2 I listed. For raiding purposes, especially in the dps area, Fallen Crusader and Razorice are your bis enchants for dps DK's. And if others don't agree, who cares, they are entitled to their opinion and just having the option for all available spells/procs in this addon would be great. Lastly, I am very pleased you brought this back. One of the best addons I have come across.
**Update** Looked up the spells that proc from Fallen Crusader - Spell ID 53365 and from Razorice - Spell ID 50401. Also missing is talent from Unholy Tree - Blood-Caked Blade Spell ID that procs from that is 50463. From the Frost Tree - Icy Talons (assuming you use 5/5 points) Spell ID 58578.

Afflicted3 can handle enemy cast alerts for PvP, as can Witchcraft & others. For PvE casting alerts, BigWigs & DeadlyBossMods, along with Witchcraft above (among others). For more PvP-specific mods, check out the PvP/Arena/BattleGrounds mod section on this site.

Proc alert mods...alert you to procs that you can benefit from responding to. For example for Death Knights, Freezing Fog (use Howling Blast without consuming any runes), Killing Machine ("your melee attacks have a chance to make your next Icy Touch, Howling Blast or Frost Strike a critical strike.") & questionably Cinderglacier ("increase the damage by 20% for your next 2 attacks that deal Frost or Shadow damage"). Those are abilities that you should to respond to by doing something other than what you are currently doing. Cast a different spell when they proc, etc.. What possible benefit is there of knowing when Razorice, Fallen Crusader, Blood-Caked Blade & Icy Talons proc, other than "cool, they proced"? Could you explain? There are a giant ton of different things that proc in the game. Talents, skills, items, etc.. The only ones that a proc alert mod needs to alert to are ones that are of benefit for the player to know, so they can take additional action based on that knowledge (cast a different spell, etc.). If you really want alerts to when everything in the game procs, regardless of the usefulness of that info...find a buff mod that allows you to make your buffs really, really large ![]() |

With all spells that are "missing" from the mod that you want, remember I added the ability to add your own spells to EventAlert.
![]() Type /ea opt and click on the custom alerts button. You can add spell IDs in there. ![]() |

![]() Speaking of lack of diplomacy, the tipping point in your original post was this: "And if others don't agree, who cares, they are entitled to their opinion..." ![]() If you instead offered valid reasons (if there are any) as to why a proc alert mod should alert you to procs like Rune of the Fallen Crusader (or similar), things might be different. GL.
![]() Have just moved back to this from GoodNewsEveryone and like most people, don't need to be alerted to procs that are not currently hard-coded in this. For those who do like being alerted like that for whatever reasons, though, the option is there. |
