ClassicThreatMeter

ClassicThreatMeter is a threat meter for WoW Classic that attempts to provide reasonably accurate estimates of your group's relative threat values against enemy NPCs by recording pertinent data from the combat log and making calculations from that data.

FAQ
Q: Why am I not seeing other players in ClassicThreatMeter?
A: Other players must have ClassicThreatMeter or a compatible AddOn enabled in order to track their threat similar to how KLH Threat Meter/Omen required compatible AddOns communicating threat to one another in Vanilla/TBC.

Q: Why isn't ClassicThreatMeter using the built-in threat API?
A: To answer simply, it can't! Blizzard added in a threat API in patch 3.0.2 for WotLK and has been in the game since, but it has been purposely removed for WoW Classic which means we must rely on combat log parsing.

Q: How does ClassicThreatMeter handle multiple targets?
A: The combat log in WoW Classic is fortunately much more detailed than that which was available in the game originally before patch 2.4. This allows us to track NPCs by GUID (global unique identifier), and there should be no issues with mobs having the same name and threat becoming muddled between them. It is also designed in such a way that effects that are meant to add divided threat between active targets, such as heals and buffs, are able to do so.

Q: Why are there so few options to customize the threat window?
A: ClassicThreatMeter is in the process of having a more robust configuration GUI made so that you can adjust the way it looks, but it is very basic for now. More features will come over time.

I don't mind running the addon so it passes data off to other users but I want the option to not see it on my screen.

I ran in to one thing, that annoyed me a little.

There's no option to toggle player colored nameplates and npc colored nameplates.

I was out questing in a group, and suddently one of my allies nameplate is red, due to his high threat, but I thought he was a player of the opposing faction because of it.

I'd like to use it with only NPC nameplates being colored, so my teammates nameplates are just normal, but only the mobs nameplates change color depending on my threat on them. Is that possible? I'm asking from a tanks perspective.
Hi, mheramb. I've pushed an update which should prevent it from affecting player nameplates. It's undergoing approval but should be up within 24 hours.
Hey m8. It seems to work better, but it still randomly colors the nameplates of friendly NPCs and players. When toggled to reverse mode (for tanks), this means that the NPCs and friendly players nameplates are colored red, because I have no threat against them, and this still confuses me into thinking I'm about the get ganked xD

Still very nice addon, tho! I've been considering toggling friendly nameplates off, but I like having it on, so I can easily see if some allied players need a heal when I run past em.
I think I've addressed this in the most recent update (1.07). Let me know if the behavior persists.

I'll add an option to hide the meter entirely in a future release.

Can you try dragging from the body of the frame instead of the header? The header wasn't movable, but the body (where bars display) is. I'll push an update to move the header on the next bug fix.
I've pushed an update which addresses this and you can now drag from the scrollbar. Just have to wait until it is approved.

I figured it out.
/ctm reset
/ctm unlock

unlocking turns the window from grey to green.

press SHIFT and left click in its main window rather than the title bar.

You're using an old copy that was hosted on a git repository and before it was ready for mass adoption by the public. Please download the latest version from here at WoWInterface. The older copy had a lot of issues that have since been resolved and new features have been added. Config is not done with the slash commands anymore, but from a config window.

I can't move it either. Alt click, shift click CTRL click.... nothing seems to move it, stuck on the left side.

They are colored by class, but the screenshot was taken from the included test mode. If you hadn't noticed, the name was the same for each bar as well as Ctm. In actual use, it colors each bar by class and has the name of each player as its own bar.
