BimUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0
by: Bimwow [More]

BimUI 6.0

Quick Info:
  • This UI is directed toward raiders who want everything they need and nothing more. All required raiding components are centralized at the bottom of the screen.
  • Every addon can be configured to your liking via its own configuration window or settings.
  • This UI is made in a 1920x1200 Resolution. I do not have plans to re-make this UI for other resolutions. However, if you are attempting to do so, I may be able to answer some questions to fix some settings for you!
  • Please note, I play a Death Knight and have not played with other classes or class mods on this UI. You can add yourself whatever mods you wish
  • A WoW Interface discussion thread for this UI can be found here.

Download Instructions:
  1. Back up your current Interface and WTF folders (Fonts folder as well, if you use one already). Then remove these folders from your World of Warcraft Directory. Seriously, back them up. I will not be responsible for lost UI files.
  2. Download the ZIP file attached.
  3. There should be three folders in the ZIP file: "Fonts" "Interface" and "WTF". Extract them to your World of Warcraft directory.
  4. Open the "WTF" folder you extracted.
  5. Open the "Account" folder.
  6. Change the name of the "ACCOUNT NAME" folder to that of your World of Warcraft account, NOT your Battle.net account (For characters on multiple accounts, duplicate and re-name this folder for each account). Then open this folder.
  7. Change the name of the "Realm Name" folder to that of your World of Warcraft character's realm (For characters on multiple Realms, duplicate and re-name this folder for each Realm). Then open this folder.
  8. Change the name of the "Character Name" folder to that of your main World of Warcraft character (For multiple characters, duplicate and re-name this folder for each character). Close the folder and run World of Warcraft.
  9. Log on to your World of Warcraft character.
  10. Type "/reflux switch BimUI" and hit enter. This is CaSe-SeNsItIvE.
  11. Your addons should switch to BimUI profiles. Any addons that don't seem to be configured properly can be changed to the "BimUI" profile in their individual configuration settings.

Included Addons:

These are the included addons. They are not written by me. All credit goes to their respective authors:

Every time I try to load my character with this UI (properly set up with the renamed WTF sub-folders) the game freezes with various amounts of missing things, ranging from nothing on my UI, to action bars strewn about with unconfigured unit frames and such, to an almost default looking blizz UI, but every time what happens in common is that the game freezes and has to be force closed.

The addons are strewn about because the profiles haven't been changed using reflux. Have you followed the step by step instructions all the way through? Or have you not been able to type "/reflux switch BimUI" before the game freezes (which I'm not sure I can explain, I'll look into it...)?

Like I said, I followed the instructions. I can't type /reflux switch because the game freezes the second the loading screen finishes =/

Try disabling recount from the addon menu, then let me know if that is the source of the problem. Some people have reported extravagant amounts of framerate drops with the most recent version. It has an easy fix so I'll update it if that's the case.

It appears that recount has nothing to do with the crashes, I've tried running it with recount/no recount and they both work with graphics at lowest and freeze the game at highest graphics for some reason.

I got problem with game frozen also, you right nothing to do with the addons but the config.wtf . I found lots of hardware config which possible make the game get frozen by different hardware profile so try these steps :

1. in WoWFolder/WTF rename config.wtf to config_old.wtf
2. run WoW.exe and login with your username/password and logoff (to let game create new fresh config.wtf)
3. open WoWFolder/WTF/config.wtf and copy the following line
Code:
SET uiScale "0.69999998807907"
SET useUiScale "1"
in config.wtf save the file
4. run WoW.exe and enjoy wow after "/reflux switch BimUI"

Hope this help.

Hi Bimwow nice addons! (but BAMM!! not fits my screen! 1920x1080 xD)

You should see this fix in the version I release tomorrow, 2.2, Among other things like focus cast bar being fixed and proper profiling of some addons. Thanks!

You're right! 4.0 indeed takes inspiration from Devlin as well as my previous versions! In fact the font used in 4.0 is the same as his. The unit frames I developed with Pitbull as well as my work with the newly added SLDataDext were also intentionally reflective. The action bars and background panels remain consistent with BimUI, but credit will definitely be given! Good eye btw

Thanks, he's done indeed a very good work with his UI and if it wasn't for the resolution I'd probably have used his, instead of making my own.
But I like yours alot aswell! I've based my unit frames' set around his UI's look too, but used SUF instead of PB because it wasn't so annoying and accomplishes the same. Good job tho and keep up!

That's the MoveAnything addon. Go to the game menu (Default: "Esc") and press "MoveAnything" at the bottom. Under the "Achievements & Quests" sub-menu, check the "Mover" checkbox that lines up next to "Tracker." Then drag the Tracker wherever you desire. Don't forget to then un-check the checkbox. Let me know if you have an issue.

As for what quests it chooses to track, right click the Tracker and choose how you want them sorted. Default setting I use is "Manual." You can select "Track" at the bottom of your Quest Log for each individual quest.
