MacFrames

Version: v0.0.9f
by: DeppImAll [More]

This addon is still under heavy development but I try to keep the versions here stable.

MacFrames

This addon is a replacement for the default blizzard raid and party frames. It tried to keep the basic style of them but add a few features which are missing in the default ones:

  • built-in mouse action rebind (casting spells or using items with clicks)
  • display defensives/externals
  • display dispellable debuffs seperately from non-dispellables
  • optional fixed alignment of specific buffs (eg. always show atonement as the first buff) this feature doesn't have a configuration UI yet
  • automatic hiding of unnecessary raid groups in combat based on current content so you can laugh at the people on the bench without seeing them in fight
  • precise size/position adjustment

Features that are currently missing but which I'm planning to implement in no particular order:
  • resource bars (Mana, Focus, etc.)
  • configuration UI for Class/Spec specific buffs (you can hack this into the profile and it works ... disc priest and resto shaman are configured)
  • configuration for the positioning of the different aura groups
  • exporting/importing of profiles
  • pets
  • vehicle support (need a tip where I can test that (freely hop in/out of one and gain/loose debuffs)

Very interesting, I'll have a look at both of those.

If you remove all click actions it shouldn't add any click actions to the frames.

But even if you don't remove the default target and menu binds, Clique and mouseover should still work as they do on any other frame. If I broke those somehow I'll have a look at that but I don't see how disabling the click functionality would change anything ... well except you couldn't target anyone anymore.
Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you mean by "disabling all the click functionality".

Mouseover macros work though.

PS, deleting out the two default mouse clicks completely breaks the addon config UI.

Always glad to hear that

Nice Work!

I really like these frames for the layout and simplified ease of use compared to default Blizz frames.

Hey, thanks for the comments and I hope you're enjoying the addon so far!

Raid Markers: I'll look into that, seems like a good thing to have
Mana/Power bars: Has been on my todo list for quite some time. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.
Role Icon border: I can see what you mean, but I'm just using the default role icons that the default raid frame have. If I find some textures for them it's an easy fix, sadly my art skills are rather limited but I'll keep my eyes open.

Great work! Keep going! <3
It looks very lightweight compared with the "big" guys like vuhdo & co.
Blizz raid frames are good, but keep missing some options if you play heavy hot classes like druid.
