Afterlife Crowd Control


Whats this addon do?
Afterlife Crowd Control is a World of Warcraft addon designed to monitor your crowd controls in and outside a party, and your party/raid members assigned target crowd controls. This is an invaluable addon for raid leaders and tanks who need to keep track of the many possible crowd control targets in a party or raid, for example, as a tank you can see which target will expire first allowing you to be there ready to pick the target up.


Features

  • List all the controlled targets in your party or raid, including the person who controlled the target.
  • 3D target frame for your own personal crowd control including time remaining.
  • Move/resiz Timer bars showing party/raid controlled targets and their durations.
  • Visual / Audio warnings when your personal crowd controlled target breaks.
  • Batman style popup when your target breaks.
  • Announce to your party or raid when your you apply and renew your crowd controls, and when your target breaks.
  • Announce to your party or raid the last 15 seconds remaining on your controlled target.
  • Announce when you interrupt a cast.
  • Diminish Returns support for PvP and Arena
  • Tank helpers such as automatically removing Salvation - this feature is activated by typing /afterlife tank from the chat window.

Hunters - please note
For hunters, target the mob you intend to trap before placing down/throwing your trap - this will assign your 3D target. If you do not select your target first before using the trap then you will not see the 3D target frame, but the timers will perform normally and any break alerts will work as normal. Instructions
For options, type /afterlife in game

Fixed a bug when a spell misses, the raid target on the mob was not correctly identified.

This is a great mod - I have some minor issues with it - is there a way to disable only certain things? For example - as a rogue - mobs that are immune to crippling poison, it announces it every time - same with being a retadin, things immune to vindication get announced every time. The rogue poisons being announced is the biggest one since just about every swing gets announced - I love the addon but I get a lot of angry people in my party and end up having to disable the addon. Great work on it though, definitely like it!

Yes, this has already been fixed in the next release. Basically ive surpressed the resists and immunes to Warrior Taunts and Crowd Control spells. This can ofc be switched off and show all spells as it does now but can be really spammy as you have noticed =)

I will, at a later date make the options more detailed so that a player can choose what to see and what not to see sent to the chat. Keep checking back for the updated release and thanks for your kind comments regarding the addon.

Edited 23rd June 2008: Fixed version is now released as described above, let me know if there are any further issues or you have some suggestions for improvements.

Yeah, awsome Addon.
As Druide, I'm getting warnings for Wrath,Moonfire, Insect Swarm, Starfire and Starfire Stun resisted/immune. Can you make a way for me to turn off these?
I only want it to track Hibernate and maybe Cyclone tbh!

But yeah... awsome addons

Thanks for your kind comments about my addon. If you type /acc and select "Only show my immunes, resists or evades for warrior taunts and crowd control spells" this will filter out unwanted spam. However, in Build 1.3.6.8 I can confirm that Hibernate, Cyclone and Enslave Demon were not part of the filtered list.. oops!

Im delighted to say that ive uploaded Build 1.4.6.8 which now has the missing spells. Im unable to test Hibernate or Cyclone since I dont have a druid.. I'd appriciate if you could test this for me and let me know any problems.

EDIT: Build 2.0.7.8 (r2078) no longer has this option and will only show resists etc for crowd control spells only for your target. No other members in your party will be shown by you or be announced to the party. If they want such information displayed then they will also need the mod.

I used to use your old addon, only for the resists and immunes it would flash my screen and announce in party chat. Especially nice for cyclones,roots,hibernates. Now when I downloaded your new one, it says it has those features, but it does not announce to party/raid chat OR flash my screen. Its really easy to test with cyclone because if u just double cast it, it will say immune. I know very little about coding and I was unable to find the problem. If u can find it and fix it or upload your old versions, that would be of great help.

Since the latest patch with undocumented changes to the combat event system I have noticed some of the features of Afterlife now fails. Im busy working on this and I will upload as quickly as possible.

Option to disable breaks in cities or when not in combat

Thank you for the mod and it really helps.
I have a problem. I'm receiving unrelated Break Spamming in cities like IronForge where there are a lot of duels. ACC would be spamming break announces for sap or sheep, which are completely unrelated to me. I would appreciate if you can add an option to disable break announces in cities or maybe it might work better for that option to disable announces when you are not in combat. Thanks!

This has already been fixed in the recent test version. Hang in there as it will be uploaded shortly.

EDIT: The latest version (r3078) has now been uploaded.

battelgrounds

Is there a chance you could put an option in to ignore battlegrounds? i find myself having to shut this off in BG when i enter or spam them out with all the CC going on. Thanks!

Also I am a raid leader in my guild, i noticed that the new options don't seem to monitor party CC anymore. I have yet to test it in a raid, will it still monitor all CC or just mine? thanks for this mod best out there!

oops, the option to switch off in battlegrounds is actually in the addon but ive not added it to the settings interface. I'll sort this out and get a upload shortly.

Re: CC breaks - older versions would monitor everyones cc'd targets but if more than one in your raid or party has the addon installed it was quite spammy so this feature was removed. Furthermore, the second reason for this being removed is because I plan to add communication between everyone in the raid via timer bars on your screen.. this is something im working on atm and should be available very soon.

So in a nutshell, it will show your cc targets only at the moment.

Thank you for replying. I guess I will downgrade to the older one for now until the new one is out as i am the only one in my raid grps that runs this. =) the new additions in the future sound great tho.

I may look at adding an option to check others in a raid group. However, as i said before it was changed because of the duplicate spam when more than one in a party had the addon installed.

Because of the new 2.4.3 combat log system the older version of Afterlife wont function correctly such as the player announcement feature which lets the group know who broke your crowd control. Furthermore, other issues have been noted since the new patch so please be aware that the old version may have more problems.

Does this (r3.1.7.8 currently) work properly detecting resists/breaks/casts/etc. on focus targets yet?

Tested an earlier version and it worked fine on primary targets. But it often got confused and didn't notify properly on focus CCed targets.

No support for focused targets as yet. Something i'll look into soon.

However, it does make a note of your target which was cc'd and will notify you as nec. a previous bug would sometimes fail to announce when you started casting on a target then switching to a different one before your cc spell completed. this has been fixed a few revisions back.

It has somekind of problem with naturalcombat options it resets naturalcombat addon and gives like 7 errors with different number naturaloptions.lua:***: and call method 'Get hight, bars ect.

Any idea?
